No Failures (Unless I Goofed Up!)
These work great! The price (16 cents a disk) was really good for a quality disk.I haven't made any frisbees (or coasters or scare-the-birds disks) yet. I have used them in 2 different drives, both worked fine. One drive is TDK brand and one is Samsung. The TDK drive doesn't care what disk is thrown into it, it always burns well- even at warp speed. The Samsung is picky, picky, picky. It has made more recycle bin fillers than anything I've ever owned. But, these disks work great in it.I checked the data on each disk and life was good!I have not made any audio disks, so I can't attest to their prowess in that realm. Data is fine. Of course, I did not test longevity of the data. However, I have read a couple of testing lab reports giving them good reviews for data retention. Time will tell. The only complaint I have:The lid on the container is goofy. It is very hard to twist into the slots. If one does not perfectly & meticulously put it back on, it will come right off. This is a problem for me, as I store these on top of a cabinet, over my head. If I grab the package by the lid, blam! The disks would spill all over the place. My solution was to move the disks to an empty container I had with a dufuss-proof lid.(Also TDK brand, but a couple of years older.)More Details That Might Help:These were used a few times in WIndows XP Pro under Nero Program with the Samsung. They were also used with the TDK drive in Windows 98SE.Most of them were written in Mac OS X 10.4.11 with the Samsung. Many used Disk Utility & many with Data Backup 3.I can't attest to the Mac Super Drive writing these disks, as mine is defunct. However, an different Super Drive read them just fine.I hope this information helps you decide which product to purchase!Paul

Simple and clean pattern on surface
I love this because the surface design of TDK is clean and simple: it is much easier to manipulate your labeling or artworks without much headaches (if you choose using CD labeling printouts). Some CDs have a color or dark design surface that give you trouble if you label things carefully with lots of remarks. Many times those dark surface design can come through too when you use the CD labeling over it, not so good. CDRWs, CDRs, DVDs of TDK I have have an empty surface with light grey line and tiny clean dots pattern on it, FYI.When you buy blank CDs you get to do something to label it. I don't have much trouble with TDK blank medias so far, burning-wise or data loss. However, if you don't label much on your media surface, then it does not much matter what it is besides reliablity and price I think, should you consider other big brands. I try to migrate all CD data to DVDs, for fear of data loss and technology shifts over times, for better or for worse.

Why these Jerks stop making them?
These TDK are on par if not better than my go to Sony CDR's. That's saying alot, these disc hardly ever mess up and good clean nice crisp music comes out of these TDK. Hardly a problem with a 50 disc spindle, I think I got one bad egg. Not bad though right? High quality sound. Why did TDK stop making them? Why TDK oh why? I have enough to get me through along with a Sony Spindle of CDR disc, im covered...

Not worth the extra cost over other CD-R options
There's nothing wrong with these discs that I've seen, but I paid extra money for these because it seemed these were older, TDK-manufactured discs that were not made by CMC Magnetics. Turns out these WERE made by CMC Magnetics, so it's all the same stuff that you can get from other brands. Don't spend the extra money on these - it's less than half the price to get another branded version of these CMC Magnetics discs.

For those with massive CD collections and no IPOD to download to.
I just have a CD Deck in my car and refuse to bring my collection mobile. with The countries latest extreme weather especially! I have most of my collection uploaded to my ITUNES and make "Best of" collections. or just copy a CD from my collection and dupe for the car. These TDK's are pretty durable in extreme weather. Also good for people the just download music threw ITUNES or other various outlets. From me, I don't download except maybe from Amazon because they are the only song download source that gives you the 320 download option for a bit more.50 Discs...8 bucks? Can't go wrong!

great CDs!
If you're having a hard time deciding which brand to choose when looking for blank CDs, don't hesitate with TDK. Although they were a little bit pricier than lower brands, it's worth it. Other blank CDs seem to fail, while I haven't had a bad CD with these. If you burn mp3 cds, I fit almost 8.5 HOURS on these CD!!! (not talking about audio burning, but mp3). Anyways, I have heard of JVC (Taiyo Yuden) with their "high quality" and I will be trying their brand too, but it is a bit pricier. But if you are just looking for everyday music burning CDs, get these.would recommend

Superb!!!!
I wish I had known TDK sold CD's way back when I was busy wasting other brand discs that hadn't copied correctly. Remember TDK cassettes back in the day? Well this is the same high quality, but you have to type TDK in the CD search for some odd reason. Not ONE wasted disc. I wonder if these facts will be posted here? Going to buy more!!!

Great CD's for the price!
These CD's are great for the price you pay on them! You get a large amount for cheap! They hold all of the songs i could need on them, and the music sounds great that's downloaded onto them, they are a bit weaker than the more expensive cds, but still have all you could want, for the price!

Everything is damaged
TDK CD-R. Out of 7 CDs recorded and/or scanned: 2-not complete recording; 1-damage of 4.6%, 1- damage of 9.5%, 1-came out blank; 1-Disk is not recognized as CD-R (status-Empty). Good scanning and recording quality was only shown by one CD out of 7. Money back?
