Lamy Safari Fountain Pen - Fine Nib - Violet - Candy Special Edition 2020

I had another Lamy Safari that I lost, and decided to get a new one. This one is just as good as my old faithful in terms of the feel, I love the purple color.I had previously used the Lamy converter cartridge (on my old Safari); flow was always a little iffy with that, across a variety of inks. The Lamy ink cartridges do seem to give a much better flow!

My 2nd Lamy Candy purchase and I love it! I usually write with the Lamy Al-Stars, but decided to try one of the Candy pens a while back. I'm not real keen on the plastic "shiny-ness" of the Safaris, but this great matte finish on the Candy pen is lovely. It feels nice to write with and the dark violet color is pretty fine. My first Candy was the Aquamarine, and the feel of it hooked me. This new Violet is in a Broad nib and it is a little work-horse. Would highly recommend it!

This was a gift. I really like that everything about this pen is purple unlike the safari editions which have chrome clips. The matte texture of the plastic is quite different from the smooth safari ones but it's not a problem. The fine nib is perfect. Not too small, not too big. It's a great pen for beginner fountain pen enthusiasts.

This is a great pin! I accidentally ordered two by mistake and I’m so glad I did! Now I have one for work and one for home. I also ordered n extra fine nib to put on one of them which works beautifully as well. This is my fourth and fifth Lamy. I use both the regular prefilled Lamy ink cartridges and the ones you fill yourself from Lamy and both work great. I do like filling my own with the ink I choose but this pen does well with any kind. It writes so smoothly and just sort floats across the paper really nicely. It’s a joy to use.

I ordered this Lamy pen in Candy Violet and received Mango (yellow) love Lamy and it looks good too, so I’ll keep it. Grew up with Lamy fountain pens and learned to write with them in grade school, still have my old pen from middle school. From my hometown Heidelberg.

Very smooth writing for a fine nib.

Given so many great reviews, I thought I'd try the Lami Safari. I ordered the fine tip which was a mistake. It's super scratchy. Maybe it's defective. Plus the barrel is so lightweight, it has a very cheap, plasticky feeling.

usually i use waterman fountain pen and sheffer didn't expect such worst build quality with the big brand, also so fat to hold not preferable

It works exactly as I expected, no ink leaks, ink flow is perfect and steady.

As with all of my LAMI Safari pens, this one maintains the high quality, style and comfort I have come to expect from this brand.
