Got a Little Creative...
Let me start off by saying my wife did not use this item for its intended purpose. She is very creative and when she gets an idea in her head, she's solely focused on it until full completion, which also means I usually end up helping in some way, shape, or form but the end result is usually rather impressive. The 3-panel Shoji screen was purchased and it was used for two projects; the first project was to use two of the panels to make new sliding closet doors for our shoe closet, and the second project was to use the remaining panel to make some kind of glowy wall art. With a solid wood frame built around the two panels for the closet doors and little picture clips holding the panels in place (while also allowing easy access to swap out panels at any time), they are pretty sturdy for their delicate appearance. For the glowy wall-art thing; scrap wood from building the closet door frames was secured to the back of the panel allowing it to be slightly drawn away from the wall and also allows a "lip" to stick the LED light strip to. The fibrous "paper" material is not really paper, more like a thick dryer sheet I would say. It seems rather sturdy and so far it has held up to the LED lights as well as acting as the perfect light diffuser.TLDR: The panels are surprisingly sturdy for what they were used for and I would purchase them again both for their intended use and for more unusual projects. They were fun to work with, extremely light, and could provide great privacy when used as intended. The only thing I noticed when working with these panels is the wood used for them is extremely soft. If you use the Shoji screen as intended, be very careful not to yank too hard when opening the panels, and I wouldn't place this in front an open window on a breezy day as the wind will surely knock it over.

Looks Great
I use this instead of putting back the sliding closet doors. Looks so good, sturdier then I thought it would be and easy to fold and move when needed.

Attractive and looks pretty well built
I bought this primarily as a shade to block direct sun coming through a sliding-glass door. It's attractive and does a good job. I can't rate durability and sturdiness after only a few weeks, but it looks pretty well built. The frame and hinges look sturdy enough. The paper/fabric feels like it could be punctured pretty easily, but I think that's as expected. Overall, good value for the money.

I love it BUT Poor workmanship
The wood was jagged on one panel and a piece of chipped wood on the other panels. I love the design and ordered it again I hope that this time it is the quality that I expect it to be. This screen never should have passed inspection.

Gorgeous, harmonious design, ideal for home office
This screen is stunning. Mine is the 5-panel version and the level of opacity is wonderful, as is the pattern. The stain is a true cherry and matches my oak floors perfectly.I was apprehensive that it wouldn't justify the price (so few things do) but the grace and simplicity of the design as well as the fit and finish of the screen are so lovely that I'm truly enjoying having it in my space. Very happy with this purchase.

Great panels but cheap hinges and production
Received the black 5 panel screen and the two way hinges that were black in the picture were brass. Fine, I read a review that this happened before and the buyer bought their own black hinges and replaced them. Didn't think that would happen to me but it did. Fine, the hinges are brass but panels look great and what I wanted. Unfortunately two of the brass two way hinges had stripped screws (two different sizes) in the "100-percent kiln dried spruce" panels and I couldn't stand the screen up. I chose this screen for the design and quality and am let down. For $222.00 Amazon Prime I didn't think it would be put together so cheaply and now I have to go through the return process and look elsewhere screening out this manufacture.

Just beautiful!
We absolutely love this screen! It's exactly what I was looking for to suit the space - easy to move and adjust and it stands well whether mostly folded or mostly open. We use it interchangeably both as a temporary wall to shield a partially open bedroom and also as a sun barrier to help protect my elderly mother from getting overheated or sunburned in the summer afternoons. This screen looks elegant and blends nicely into the house decor. It's a very classy piece. It's solidly built, but still light enough that it's easy to move around. I definitely recommend it.

excellent decor, be gentle with it
The product arrived in good shape. It was already assembled and I am using it for 3 windows. I unscrewed the panels into 3 sets of two. One of them toppled on me and the paper material punctured and the wood split slightly on the side. It was unfortunate but such is life. This is very gentle material so be careful with how you position it. Nearly any fall will cause damage. But the product and price are very good.
