Floorseal Patio Cleaner Plus (5 Litre)

Bought 1 of these to see if it’s worth it, absolutely brilliant stuff. My patio always looks bad because of the black spots after I jet washed it, put this on then washed it off after an hour and bingo most off the black spots are gone (had to do a few bits a second time but it worked wonders) very happy 😁

Second product I’ve tried on my patio stones. Used exactly per the instructions. Didn’t work for me. Very disappointing outcome.Update - in fairness it may be the case that this product takes time to work, whereas I had expected immediate results. In the few months since applying it, my patio has appeared much brighter and I am pleased with the outcome. Even some dark spots have faded somewhat, but the manufacturer has a more specialised product for that problem.

Cleaned Indian sandstone patio. Was quick action. Used it after pressure washing to get rid of ingrained black marks 20 mins later I rinsed it off and the slabs looked like new. Also used it on my canopy canvas as it was knackered and was going to swap it and had nothing to lose. That cleaned up too. Only advice is wear gloves(my bad) as my hands stunk of bleach for two days

Used on patio that hadn’t been cleaned for 15 years. Did a good job. Bought more. Will use again. Second time hoping to get even better results.

I have tried previous patio cleaners with varying degrees of success so was a bit reticent about spending over £25 on this product.I followed the instructions on the bottle - pre-wet the area to be treated and mixed a 50/50 solution with water. I applied the solution with a watering can, used a stiff brush to work it in and left it for about 15 minutes. After this, most of the dirt, lichen and moss had disappeared but some black spot remained. I repeated the scrubbing procedure twice more and was amazed at how the remaining blemishes lifted. After rinsing the patio down with water, I was left with a patio area that looks as good as the day it was laid, 13 years ago.The brushing doesn't need to be too strenuous so it wasn't back-breaking work. Took me about two hours to do an area of about 25 sqm, including moving furniture/pots about. I will be using this product on my drive which is block paving.Highly recommended for ground in grime

Just to give feedback, i have a very good and expensive jetwasher - guess what, jet washers cannot shift it however hard you try, it needs a little something to get into it. Water on its own is no good!!

I’m ashamed to say that my travertine patio hasn’t been cleaned for fifteen years, apart from a very occasional power wash. I double checked with Floorseal before buying that it was safe for travertine, and they were very helpful when confirming that it is. This has been wonderfully effective at clearing years’ worth of grime and dirt.I first soaked the patio, brushed off any standing water, then left this (diluted 1:1) for at least an hour to do its thing, ensuring it didn’t dry out during this time. Perhaps it was uneven application on my part, but I needed to go back and do some spot cleaning with it afterwards. I’d recommend following the guidance of wearing a mask when using because of the fumes.

Save yourself a small fortune and buy bleach; I did a side by side test and there’s literally no difference between this product and bleach. Then there’s the other downsides….the environment and that you’ll spend ages scrubbing away and wonder where the benefits are over a jet wash. For the same price as three of these, buy a jet wash that you can use on untold jobs around the house, without poisoning our ‘fair sister’ .
