Favorite amongst fur babies
All of my dogs, big and small love this bed. My hot natured dogs seem cooler and more comfy on the cooling bed. My grand pups loved it so much when they visited, I sent each of them 1 of their own. They love the “pillow ends” and it is machine washable, which is a win. I rated the durability a 4 star because I have replaced the covers a few times and the bed twice due to digging resulting in shredding of the covers and the foam structure. I’m not sure that is a flaw in the design as my dogs can dig holes in very hard earth. So overall, it’s a 5. I recommend to everyone.

Nice bed, but plush cover wasn't durable enough.
Seconds after laying this bed out, my dog was very fascinated by the plush "rose" pattern. It looks and feels nice, but he immediately was drawn to gnaw on it (He hasn't chewed any other furniture, but does shred plush toys). Unfortunately it ripped instantly. He didn't continue to chew on it thankfully, but I was disappointed that it ripped so easily.I suspect some of the other cover options may be more durable and less alluring to bite. The bed itself seems nice. My dog is about 80lbs and the cushion supports him fully. He seems to like it, but often chooses to lay on the rug instead. It does slide, so you may want to consider a rug grip pad underneath it.I bought a second, cheaper pad for his crate (about half the price) and this one is significantly thicker - so I feel like it's a good value.

UPDATED-a good choice for arthritic dogs; doesn't flatten under the weight of a large dog
UPDATE: We lost our beloved Sadie a few wks ago, tearfully facing the reality that keeping her with us was subjecting her to pain and suffering that we could no longer control with disability aids and pain medications. She had a happy, long life (15 yrs), and we did everything we could to provide quality of life for as long as we were able. But, no matter the circumstances, it's always SO hard to say good-bye....... I felt it important to update and let readers know that this was THE BEST BED of all those we'd tried before for a dog who suffered from severe, progressive arthritis and needed a bed that would keep her sore joints OFF THE HARD FLOOR. After all the bed wetting and bed-making round-abouts, when I took off the self-made protective coverings, the bed and it's fabric cover were in excellent condition with only one small slit in the fabric where, at some point, she got a claw under the heavy oil cloth topcover. This bed did what we needed it to do....provided orthopedic, off-the-floor cushioned comfort and held up wonderfully (with some alterations), no visible flattening of the solid foam mattress. For us, this was more than "just a bed", it was one of the tools we had, one of the aids that enabled us to provide comfort for Sadie so we could keep her with us as long as possible. For that, I am very thankful and have changed my initial 4 star rating to 5 stars (Original, more detailed review below.)ORIGINAL REVIEW: Bought the Jumbo size for our 85 lb German Short Hair (tall dog with long legs & long body). Due to arthritis, she needs a bed with cushioning for stiff joints (especially hips) yet firm enough not to flatten under her weight. This bed does both better than I expected, and NO PART OF THE DOG'S BODY EVER TOUCHES THE FLOOR! For an arthritic dog, keeping their bodies off hard surfaces is KEY to their comfort! The mattress has a removable, zippered fabric cover, well fitting and nice looking but provides no protection from moisture. Because Sadie's incontinence also continues to worsen, I have completely wrapped the bed in 2 super-size plastic bags, then covered that with a very heavy, very durable oil cloth (the old fashioned kind). On the top, I put a bed sheet, which gets changed several times a day. (Flannel sheets in the winder, and cool, lightweight sheets in summer.) The protective covers have worked well and kept the bed clean and dry through many weeks of many accidents. (We tried the diapers. Within two weeks, she'd figured out how to get them off during the night, even with the "suspenders" I designed. We'd get up in the morning, and there the diaper laid, still attached to the suspenders, not a single tear in it. Just once, I'd like to see how the old lady accomplishes that! ;-) Sadie likes to go around and around and around, then scratch/dig before settling down. The heavy duty oil cloth prevents her strong claws from ripping into the bed's cover and the foam underneath. My one complaint and the reason for docking one star is the "pillow" on both ends. Sadie doesn't always like the pillow and often lays crosswise, which leaves her back end on the floor and subject to pain and stiffness. It would be nice if they offered a bed with a bolster on only one end so those dogs who don't always want a pillow could lay their head on the flat end. There is a one-pillow version available from the same company, but it has a bolster/pillow all across the back of the bed, and I thought that might be too hot in the summer & would restrict the ability to sprawl out. At the time of this purchase, there is also a bed from a different company with only one pillow but at FOUR TIMES the price for the same size. We love our sweet Sadie, but we also have to take into consideration the other costs related to her health issues. Even with Sadie's conflicting pillow preference, this is a better bed than any we've found for an arthritic dog. It's reasonably priced compared to similar beds from other companies, offers sizes big enough for large dogs, it's sturdy and well constructed. If you take precautions to protect it from things you know it will be exposed to (like bed wetting, for example), it should last a long time. I give it 4 stars and a strong recommendation, especially for dogs with physical ailments that require off-the-floor cushioning.

Hound-dog approved - 2 Paws Up!!
We rescued this amazing little Walker Coonhound mix that had been a stray in our small town for about 2 years. We would have given her a home sooner, but no one could catch her! She has been with us now for 2.5 years and we have gone through MANY beds trying to find one she would fall in love with. I believe our search is finally over!Ginger had been with us for about a year when we found her on our bed one day. She has since decided to take it over and frequently pushes us out of it. She loves our memory foam bed and pillows and she likes to pull the quilt down and snuggle into it. I wanted to find something for her that she would love just as much, and I wanted to sleep all night in my bed without getting kicked out!Ginger weighs 43 pounds and we purchased the large bed with the cooling memory foam. I wanted something easy to clean and the cover comes off very easy. I also read on another review that Pack and Play sheets were a perfect fit, so I ordered some of those to make it even easier to clean. This bed has plenty of room for her to stretch out on and actually has "pillows" built in on both ends; the ends are about 2-3 inches thicker and rounded. The bed arrived and I unpacked it on my lunch break. By the time I arrived home that evening, it was fully expanded. I put the cover on it and it fit very well. I put the sheets on it and they were a perfect fit. I also ordered a baby quilt and a cooling gel memory foam toddler pillow. My husband made fun of me, but I told him that Ginger had it rough being homeless for so long and she deserved some comfort of her own! She likes her own space and her bed is set up in a spare room at the end of the hall where she can keep an eye on the whole house.Ginger would not have anything to do with the bed for several days. She is very wary about anything new, but I kept insisting to my husband that she was going to love it. I would occasionally pick her up and set her on it, but she wouldn't stay. After about 4 or 5 days, we were watching movies one night and I hadn't seen her for a while, so I went looking and I found her happily passed out on her new bed. She sleeps on it every day now and sometimes does not want to get out of it! She also loves the little pillow and the quilt. We had tried other, much more expensive, memory foam beds, but they were all too hot and she wouldn't sleep in them. This one is perfect. It arrived clean (not yellow as another reviewer stated), had no weird smell, and I could feel the cooling effect on the blue foam on top (after the bed cooled off from being outside for several hours on a very hot day). I was worried that the foam would be too soft like some of the egg-crate style foam beds we have tried, but it's very supportive. The whole family wants to sleep in Ginger's bed now!She has been using it for less than a month and I have only washed the sheets, so I cannot say how durable it will be, but it seems to be very well made. I think it will wash well and last a very long time. She is not a chewer or a digger though, at least when it comes to her bed - she loves to dig up the yard and chew on bully sticks! If it does not wash well or falls apart, I will edit my review, but for now, we love it.I think the only negative thing I can say about this bed is that it is much lighter than I expected, so when she jumps in or out of it, it does move around some. I'm not even sure that is a negative. Some of her heavier beds have stayed in place better, but were also harder to maneuver to get the cover off to clean.

My 2 year old standard size Goldendoodle loves it!
My 2 year old standard size Goldendoodle loves it! The bed is soft and memory foam. I used to have a cheap, thin bed from Amazon that was like $20 but you can see the difference. My pup absolutely loves this bed to the point that I bought 2 - one for my living room and one for my bedroom. I highly recommend!

Not great for price
I have a 110lb Boxer Mastiff mix and he's almost 11 which means his joints are starting to feel uncomfortable so it's been hard finding an affordable ( large enough ) dog bed for him that supports his weight and pressure points. I researched a lot on the different beds and this one had many good reviews and looked like pictures were good too. So I purchased the jumbo size ( biggest size they had ) it doesn't seem as thick as it's supposed to be and his pressure points hit the floor when he's laying on it. I will wait the 3 days to see if the foam gets bigger and more firm. However, if it doesn't I will be returning this as the foam doesn't seem great quality.Update: sent it back!!

Great at first...but....
Seemed to be great initially...but after 2.5 months of my 85lb pup sleeping on it (only at nights) - the "memory" foam has a memory of the pup and has no plushness left. Entire center section is permanently crushed and offering little support. Unfortunate for the price. My last one was the same price but bought from Costco, and lasted ~5 years with my 145lb pup sleeping on it... Disappointed - and it's past the "return" date now, so ...

Great so far
Just got the jumbo sized bed today, it unfolded and filled out nicely and my dog loves it! We'll see how it holds up and if it's easy to clean. For now though, I'm very happy with it! Also, the dog in this picture is a Boxer/Great Pyrenees cross, she's about 70lbs and it fits her nicely.

My Greyhounds love this bed, but the material rips easily.
My greyhounds love this bed and both took turns lying in it the first day. My only worry is them ripping the soft cover as they like to dig up their bed. I hope it is able to withstand that. My only wish is that the softcover was a little thicker.UPDATE: I lowered the rating as 4 months after getting the bed my dog ripped a hole in it quite easily, as I suspected. I really wish the cover was a thicker and durable.
