Does this stuff good for checking bromine?

I never had to test for bromine myself. I did learn that it can be used for bromine however you have to double the amount. So if your comparator says it's 1ppm of Cl2 then it's 2ppm bromine.

Can check chlorine on kitchen faucet or showers in house?

It can be used to check the chlorine in any water. The question I would have is what is your acceptable limits and where to find a scale for your readings. Both of those I can not answer for you.
