Simple Joys by Carter'sBaby Neutral 2-Pack Cotton Footed Sleep and Play

Especially with all the online shopping that's been required (maybe not the right word, but you know what I mean) this year I found it really annoying to try to figure out which Carter's Sleep N Plays were the soft squishy kind and which ones were the thin kinda cheap feeling material ones. I'm not talking about fleece, I mean the nice thick cotton vs the thin cotton. They are both referred to just as "Cotton". So - based on my purchases I think the trick is this -If the neckline is the thick neckline that almost looks like it's coming to a V, and the wrists are the nice thick band that is a little tighter around the wrist - those are the really soft squishy and nice cotton.If the neckline has the thin hem, more of the U shape, and the wrist has that same thin hem, the material isn't nearly as soft. It's thinner and scratchier in my opinion.I'm not positive that is for sure the case for all of the thin ones, but I can say that every set I've purchased with the thicker neckline and wrists has been the nice thicker and softer cotton and that's been true for both Amazon and Target.So, at least at the time of writing this, if you are looking for the soft ones, go for the Bear Hugs/Bear Turtle pattern! They are soft, comfy and cute! We've purchased them in a couple sizes and they have been true to size as well.

I was really disappointed in the quality of these. The onesie that has the turtle on the back has no inner lining to prevent the hard stitching from scratching my baby’s back.I also felt that the neck opening was really small when fully zipped. My baby is on the low end of the growth charts so to have this be tight fitting on his neck was a bummer.I tried to return them but the return window expired so quickly that I wasn’t able to get them back in time. When do new Moms have time to go to the post?!! Come on?!?!

I had to buy these online because my boy went from 6lbs to like 10lbs in no time at all! It was crazy and we had to buy clothes on prime. These are super cute! The frog jammies have an appliqué on the butt that is adorable. He grew out of these in normal fashion and we passed them along to our friends having a baby girl! Great unisex jammies.

PROS:-Cute gender netral designs-Soft, thick cotton-Good quality construction-Mitten cuffsCONS:-Not the cheapest option-Zipper design is not well thought out:If you are changing your baby, and you have zipped from the bottom up, and then you realize you need to change the whole onesie (because of leaky diaper, baby boy's impressive aim with peeing etc), then you run into a problem. The only way to remove the onesie is to undo the zipper the whole way back DOWN. Which is not fun with a fussy newborn!Apart from that I LOVE these onesies they are so cute.The onesies I have found with the PERFECT zipper design are the Target Cloud Island Sleep and Play. You can remove the whole onesie easily if you need to halfway through a change. They are only $13 for 3, but are way lighter cotton than these Simple Joys ones. I prefer the quality of the Simple Joys ones, but the zipper design makes the Cloud Island ones a winner for me.

The only reason why I rated this 3 stars is because the legs are short for a 2-3 month old baby. My daughter wore this maybe 5 times before she outgrew the legs (all other measurements and the width were fine).

My husband is obsessed with "The Teddy" and "Turtle Bottom" footies, so much so that I ordered them in the next size. Simple Joys runs a little bit smaller than Carters or other brands of the same size, which is helpful when first graduating to the next size up.

I bought these for my 7-lb. newborn because he didn't fit into the newborn size yet. These are soft and made of a thin cotton fabric, perfect for summer babies. The price may or may not be a deal breaker for some people. These only fit for about two weeks before my baby outgrew it, but personally I was okay with this given the price and the fact that I didn't want my baby swimming around in baggy clothes.

I love these and they are so cute for a boy or a girl. My kiddo is 3 months, about 15 lbs and 24 inches. He still fits into these just fine. I would say they will last until he is about 4 months+. I read a review about the turtle being so rough on the behind and while it is not lined, a diaper provides support from that and it does not rub on his skin. Some of the Carters brand cotton clothes are really thin, and I find these to be a nice substantial and soft cotton.

These jumpsuits are amazing. They fit my baby perfectly from birth and he was born at 3.12kg and 49 cm long. He's now two months old and he's starting to unfortunately outgrow them. They are very functional for a newborn as they have two way zippers, sleeves that fold over the hands and fotties of course. So no need for socks and mittens which babies lose within a few minutes of wearing. I'm buying the next size up.

Very pretty sleepsuits that fit well and I really like the zip. However, one of them had some very sharp wirey bits where the motif had been sewn on. They would have been extremely uncomfortable if we hadn't found them first and cut them off.

The zip makes this awkward you cant really change nappies without stripping the baby right down. Also doesn't have built in scratch mits which are a must for us

The onesie after one day of use holes started to appear, such a bad quality. My baby wasn’t even doing anything cause we use it for pijama. Groceries stores have way better ones with better quality. Not happy at all, and let’s not forget that are expensive.

Lovely sleepsuits just what I’ve been looking for with the two way zipper. Very pleased
