Casio PROTREK Slim Line Series Solar Multiband 6 Triple Sensor Ver.3 Men's Watch PRW-3100Y-1JF (Japan Import)

I've had a long line of Casio Solar Atomic watches, mostly G-Shocks. For functionality they just can't be beat--but this Casio is also elegant. Other Casios have aluminum bodies, which scratch easily, with markings painted on, so they wear off over time. This Casio has a body of either steel or titanium, and the markings are laser-etched. In fact, it looks much better in person than it did online, so the unboxing was a delightful surprise. This is a Slim Line Protrek, so it is far less bulky than other Triple Sensor Casios while preserving all the functions; the main difference is the absence of a superfluous compass ring. I also love the negative display, white on black -- very sharp. However, it's not really white on black, it is GRAY on black, giving somewhat poor contrast. It's readable but it would be so much better with true white STN LCD's. With the backlight on, the display is spectacular, and unlike my prior Casio, a Protrek PRW-3000, its twist-on function is very responsive to wrist motion, but the display is a bit dimmer than optimal. But overall, I'm very pleased with it, and feel comfortable wearing it in dress, as well as work / casual, settings.

Could use an English as well as Japenese manual, but otherwise it’s a good product and fairly fast shipping seeing how it’s coming from Japan.

Amazing watch, has all the functions and all of them work flawlessly besides altimeter. Altimeter gets information from barometer which is basically air pressure monitor. So if you by the sea level on a sunny day and it's showing 0-5 feet elevation, and if in 5 minutes you'll have clouds and rain the watch will start showing 200-300 feet differently at the same exact spot. In this case you would need to set it manually again to let's say 0-5 ft. So if you are on a day hike in the mountains and the weather stays same, the watch will be very accurate.Buyer be ware!I ordered this watch from here, it came from Japan. The watch has a tiny defect when the back-lit is on, there is a tiny spec on top of the screen. Tried to return it and seller only would give me half of the refund. I opened a claim with amazon a-to-z and they promised to give my full refund. I did not want to ship the watch back then order a new one since it would take a while, so just stayed with this one. Have it for about a month now, so far no issues.Look at the photo on top by letter "H", the spot only shows when the light is on.

This is the JDM version of the watch, which features a negative LCD display. That makes it a bit harder to read. But, some people like the dark, elegant look of negative LCDs. It's a trade-off. This watch is full of advanced features, including the "triple sensor," which offers a compass, barometer / altimeter, and thermometer. It also has a sunrise / sunset calculator feature. I like the understated and minimal graphics on the bezel, which is the opposite of what Casio is known to do. It's one of my favorites in the Casio collection. Got the positive LCD version for my brother as a gift!

This is a very nice watch. A step up from my other Protrek watches. The slimmer size and better aesthetic are great. Hats off to the seller Premium Japan for very quick delivery. Fastest I have had from any order shipped from Asia.

Beautiful watch a a very accurate ABC watch, but the "new and improved" display is still too dark to quickly read.Also the vendor isn't the best to deal with on returns. I don't like dishonesty.

I ordered this watch some time ago for my son's high school graduation and he loves it! Tons of functionality but with less bulk than most similar watches. That was 2 years ago and no issues whatsoever with it since we got it. Would highly recommend the watch and the seller.

時計本体は気に入ってとても喜んでくれました。ありがとうございます♪一つだけ困ったのは小ぶりで厚い説明書が三つ折りで入っていたので折ぐせが強くとても読みづらいことです。仕方がないので今は厚く重い辞書を乗せてのばしています。品物が良いだけに残念です。その為時計は大大満足でしたが星４つにさせていただきました。

お気に入りポイント：・気圧の変化がグラフで確認できるので、楽しい。気圧を確認するのが好きなのです。・今の所、壊れていません。残念ポイント：・高度の値が疑わしい。タイミングで高度入力をするので面倒。今はたまに確認するだけです。・バックライトの点灯時間が短いので、連打しています。照明時間を変更できるかは知りません。
