For a soft beard, and a great value, you can't go wrong.
This is my first foray into the use of beard oil. Over recent months, as I grew my goatee longer, I started noticing some flakiness on my chin (always clean and well groomed), and that my beard hairs were becoming drier and stiff. It seems time is against me, as the gray hairs in my beard are noticeably stiffer and scratchier. After reading reviews of several products, I chose the Fragrance Free Beardsmen Beard Oil. I didn't want any scent that would compete with anything else I chose to wear. I specifically chose Beardsmen after comparing ingredients with other brands. Formulations were similar, all using several types of natural oils to create a moisturizing product. Two things convinced me to try Beardsmen. First, the quantity. For less money than some other products, Beardsmen offers a much larger quantity of oil than pretty much anyone, so they definitely win the "bang for the buck" award. Second, Beardsmen is the only one that has a flow controlling dispenser, so you don't have to mess with ridiculous eye droppers and such. Oh... and the product itself? I LOVE it. No more flaky chin skin, and my beard is soft and smooth. This is obviously a plus as far as my wife is concerned. There is only the very slightest hint of a light "oil" smell when you first put it on, which is not strong enough be more than barely noticeable for a second or two, and definitely would never be noticed by others. After using this for about a month, and giving a small quantity to a friend to try, I still have most of the bottle full. This stuff will last forever, and when you finally do run out, you'll likely panic and jump on Amazon to get another bottle. I know I will.UPDATE: After a little thought, I tried a small experiment, that worked out well. I carefully pried the dispenser plug out of the bottle and put a few drops of my favorite cologne into the unscented beard oil, then replaced the plug. Now I have this great beard oil that smells very nice as well.

Turned my beard from irritating porcupine to luxurious mane.
I have been growing my current beard for about 3 weeks, and decided to continue growing it out for No Shave November, so I decided if I was going to make it all the way through the month I would need some extra help. I did a ton of research and reading of reviews of beard oils and finally decided on Beardsman Spirit Fragrance Free. As of writing this, I have used this oil every day for about almost a week. I have never used a beard oil before but have tried a number of hair conditioners to little effect. My beard hair tends to be thick coarse strands that irritate my wifes skin so I have rarely kept a beard around for long even though she likes the bearded look. I would almost compare my beard hair to the bristles of a toothbrush. I also have frequently battled beard-itch and beardruff when growing it out as well. I must say even after the first application my beard not only has a great looking healthy shine but also felt noticeably softer and more pleasant when rubbed on skin. I have not seen a speck of dandruff nor have I had any excessive itching or discomfort since using it either. It is fragrance free although there is an extremely mild almost cooking oil like smell when you first apply it but it dissipates in a few seconds. The oil absorbs quickly and leaves no greasiness behind. I am amazed that this oil seems to offer the same benefits of similar products but comes in double the amount other sellers offer. I will update this review as my beard gets longer but as of now I would recommend this to anyone thinking of growing a beard or even veteran beardsmen to up their beard game.

It's ok, slight scent, and greasy on your hands.
It's ok. Honestly i can't tell much difference between this and just regular coconut oil. I have a really big beard though, 10" so i'm pretty pick. It has a scent too it, subtle but it's there, just smells oily, and it leaves your hands really greasy. I use the orange shop soap after putting it on. I think it might be better for shorter beards. I'm going to try putting it in a small spritzer bottle and spraying it on/combing it through to keep it off my hands, and I'm going to add a little sandalwood/eucalyptus essential oils to it to mask the smell a little bit. I bought the big bottle, so i'm in it for the long haul.

I don't like it...
Super thick and greasy. With all other beard oils I have used, I can put it in my beard and then through my hair to get rid of the rest. This leaves a thick coat on your hands that you have to wipe off with a towel. It smells bad. My guess is that Castor oil is the bad ingredient. It's also a super cheap ingredient. Makes for a cheap oil. Got what I paid for I guess... so there's the second star.

Lots of oil that expires a couple months after you buy it?
Sadly I just missed the return window but I just finished my last beard oil and was ready to turn to this one. This beard oil says it expires in a couple months but it smells so stale and nasty that it's obviously past it's prime. Now I have a huge bottle of stale-smelling oil and no way to return it.So be warned because you could end up like me and get this beard oil just before its listed expiration. Also note that this product seems to expire well before the listed date. Check the label when you get it! Hope this helps!

No fragrance added, but smells simular to cooking oil.
Nice size & packaging, love the cobalt blue bottle. Dispenses very precise with no over spills!Almost completely eliminates the itch, if i apply twice daily.Oily at first but soft after it soaks in & drys a little.Keeps beard neat & managed looking instead of the flyaway frizz look. The only problem my wife & I have with it is the "blah" oil smell. It's pretty important that she likes the smell [or lack of].She doesn't absolutely hate it, but doesn't love it much either.I can really appreciate the Fragrance Free version as most companies use way too much fragrance's & perfumes.but in this case i think it needs a slight smell to cover up the oil smell.Overall a great product, but just not for me.I think we would have been happier with the Bold Forest version.
