The Spiritual Adventures of Russell the Dog: A Blend of Truth, Fiction and Inspiration From the Other Side Paperback – January 20, 2020

Well! This book seemed to be a cross between A Dogs Purpose and The Celestine Prophecy with a few snippets of political ideology thrown in. I did open my mind to accept the idea of the authors offering of a incarnate spiritual journey and will say that there were parts that made me want to make personal improvements to my life. Because: Karma. The beginning of the story was exceptionally brutal (for me) and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read on. Once ‘Russell’ (the puppy) was rescued from The Pit, I settled into the story. My interpretation of the story is that Russel made the choice to be incarnated to learn lessons and to become spiritually whole. If you’re looking for some personal inflection I’d recommend taking the time to read this book.

this book is so worth reading! when i started reading this book i wanted to quit reading because it seemed to be fantasy. well, i'm so glad i continued reading. after many chapters is when the book gets really interesting and so many things have opened my eyes. it tells of some of early history in the US, how some children grew up being abused, how animals feel when they lose a loved one and yes, pets do mourn for lost loved ones, and there are lessons to be learned. let me give a quote from the book that i have found very inspirational, "Many opportunities are given in a lifetime to choose and express actions of love, compassion, empathy and Mercy." Author Trish Watson. you will not regret to read through the many chapters that are just setting the scene. please read on!

This is about a dog who had reincarnated several times. This time he's chosen to be a dog to confront some painful issues from his prior life as an unhappy family man. He has guides who have also been in his many prior lives. If you can't even entertain the idea of reincarnation this isn't the book for you. I found it interesting. There are surprises that pop up but I don't want to give it away. I think you'll like the book if you give it a chance,

This is one of my all time favorite books and I have recommended it so many times or bought it for others. The best book I know for explaining how life really works in a delightful story form. Read it and fall in love with Russell and realize that you are never alone!

So glad I decided to read this adventure! It took me to places I never dreamed I would travel. I laughed and cried all the way to the end. My soul is enriched by Russell the Dog's life experiences and soul level growth. I think this book will change many souls as it addresses all the truly important lessons we hope to learn before we return to spirit. Basically a book about reincarnation. Found it somewhat tedious keeping all the different lives straight.
