I originally ordered XLs, based on the size chart. I couldn't even put them on. I returned them and ordered XXXLarge. Very comfortable fit. Soft and flexible. Good protection from splinters in wood; rose thorns go right through them. I can't operate a touch screen with them, but I can use most construction tools without removing them. They allow enough sense of touch to discriminate between a weed and the plant I'm trying to save when gardening.After replacing 5 aluminum windows in a rental and more than a week in the garden, they're dirty, but bear no signs of wear. I plan to buy more when these are worn out.

These gloves work great in all kinds of situations. Well around the house and my property….. that is. I would not try using these for dish washing or say, open heart surgery but around my house, the property, in and around my garden and the yard these are amazing!!!! I use them for everything from handling cactus to cutting down trees with a chainsaw to using a post hole digger, cutting metal, cutting bushes, fencing (Fencing, like fixing and making a fence around the house and property!!! Not swinging swords around, Ha!!!!) I have even used these gloves for welding and more. I would not recommend welding with these, yes they work for quick welding jobs but the cuff is NOT adequate for large welding jobs.I really appreciate the reinforced palm area, the double stitch thumb area and the fact that a courser leather is used where grip is needed.I struggle with dry hands, so I have found that putting a ton of avocado oil on your hands first and then putting these gloves on, do that several times, will not only keep these gloves from drying out your hands but it will make the gloves feel better, look really cool and work even better.If you like well fitting gloves buy the size that you would normally buy gloves in. These gloves are true to size.

Nice soft fairly heavy leather gloves

I've worn these and many other gloves over the years and I consistently find these to be the best for my needs. I do buy them a size too small and then stretch them to fit. You can do this by getting them wet or just wearing them if you sweat a lot. After dry I then put a conditioner such as neatsfoot oil on them and they will be very supple and last a long time, and I really abuse gloves.

I love these gloves. I have multiple pairs of these for almost anything that require gloves. The only activity I do not use these gloves for are for mechanical work that requires some level of finger dexterity. I have used these for yard work, camping work, barn work, any anything that requires hand protection. I'm very big on keeping my hands protected and from getting calloused. Read: You would never know I do manual labor because of gloves like these.Quality and workmanship of these glove are great. Materials are a good balance between protection and movement. This means the leather is thick enough to protect your hands but soft and thin enough to provide your dexterity. I can shovel all day and swing an ax all day and not have blisters. I do add a protective wax/oil to increase the softness and quickens the break-in, but I haven't seen any ill-effects of this treatment.Overall the build quality and value/price of this product makes me highly recommend this product.

A little too small

The only bad thing is that if you work with grease or oil it will not last long. It will go through the gloves and into your hand.

I am clearing land, using these to protect from brambles and thorns, also to tend the bonfire. Excellent gloves. I buy them large as when they get wet and dry, they do shrink. Very durable, excellent value
