A gorgeous pen!
I originally purchased the Picasso 903 Sweden Flower King back in April: it writes beautifully and feels of a very high quality, as though it will last forever. However, I find it has a tendency to slip around in my hand while writing. I then purchased this Picasso 916 Malage pen last month. The lovely matte surface provides an excellent grip while the 0.38 millimeter nib flows smoothly without skipping, creating a nice fine line with a comfortable level of feedback(perfect for very smooth paper such as Rhodia). I can write on the back of the nib with no problem and the cap closes properly with an audible click - I cannot see it coming loose in the future. Also, it posts well, though I find it to be the perfect weight and balance for my small hand when using it unposted. No less importantly, it is visually pleasing. I chose the sunset grey version which appears just as it does in the pictures: dark charcoal with a jet black grip section and silver highlights. One word of caution: I would urge potential buyers of this pen not to judge it too quickly upon first use. When I first filled it with ink, the nib seemed to let a little too much wetness onto the page so that the line width appeared much broader than an extra fine. After a few days, it wrote with a nice fine point, continuing to do so even when I refilled the converter with fresh ink. The same is true of my Picasso 903 Sweden Flower King - it writes much finer now than when I first purchased it. To conclude, this pen is, for me, the perfect balance between beauty, comfort, and functionality. It is my go to pen.

Excellent value fountain pen
I have been really impressed with this fountain pen. I like a really fine nib, which this pen comes with. It is a smooth writer, with just a little bit of bite on the paper. It comes with an ink converter so no problems about finding the right cartridges. I bought Diamine blue black ink at the same time and it looks great when using this pen. Nice weight, good writer and an excellent price for a really nice pen.

This is a nice pen.
I know nothing other than I have always produced neater hand written work when I use an ink pen. This has been the case since I was a child and used then in school. I just find writing with them slows my writing down slightly and that leads to neater work. This is an easy to hold, pleasantly weighted pen which moves easily over the page. I have medium tip on it and find that it never tends to dig in. It takes the standard short cartridges but also comes with an ink pump adapter. I claim no great experience with ink pens but I enjoy using this one. It was well worth the purchase.

A beautiful pen to write with and look at!
As a treat, I bought this pen a few months ago. It is very stylish and I use this pen all of the time as it is an absolute joy to write with!Recommended!

Outstanding Value
The Pros:- Strong, satisfying click to remove the lid- Easy flowing, once you get the pen started- No real 'scratchiness' that you might expect from a fine nib, possibly due to paper quality- Line weight can be adjusted with practice by using different pen angles, try it!The Cons:- Mine needed a little water on the nib to encourage it to write for the first time, but never again

Oberpriced design piece, with poor haptic and feel
Bought this product for my diary. Handling is pretty poor. I do not enjoy writing. What is the worst about it is that you constantly have to adjust the pressure in the tank as otherwise the nib just stops writing. Not my first fountain pen but certainly the last by this manufacturer. Especially for the price I‘d expect at least the very basics to be ok.Also, pen is a bit small and not well balanced. Means your hand will hurt. I have small hands. Good for writer shorter notes but for longer texts definitely a wrist breaker.

BEST pen I own! Great for small hands
I absolutely *love* this pen! I've been dabbling in fountain pens for about two decades now, though recently was when I really got into them and "fell down the rabbit hole" that is the wonderful world of fountain pens and ink. I was searching for my "everyday carry" (EDC) and although I had several pens that were nice (Pilot Metropolitan, Sheaffer Award, Lamy AL-Star), it wasn't until I got this one that I sighed the big happy sigh of relief. This pen is literally everything I could ask for: slim, fantastic soft textured surface, matte black with gorgeous red trim, and writes the smoothest of any pen I've ever used. AND the price is insanely low, to boot!By comparison, for my birthday I bought myself a $90 Cross fountain pen. And then took it back...it just didn't write well. Tried many more; nope. This Picasso 918 I didn't have high hopes for, being only $18, but it was too gorgeous to pass up. Now I want several, just to be sure I always have one on hand.I have zero complaints about this pen. Currently I'm using Waterman Intense Black and it works perfectly. Smooth, no skips, no hard starts, just amazing writing, all the time. I'm attaching samples to demonstrate just how beautifully this pen writes. Also, I have small hands (I wear boys' winter gloves because women's gloves are too big for me) and this pen is just right. My "Goldilocks" pen for sure. I am also big on texture, and this pen's smooth, satiny, velvety finish is just perfect. Last night I couldn't stop playing with it, just turning it in my hands because it felt that good. (For those of us with ASD, that's HUGE!)You really can't go wrong with this pen, unless you have really big hands and this pen might be too small. I use it posted and it's almost like it was custom-made for my hand. It's also lightweight without feeling cheap; easy to carry in my purse without adding bulk or weight. Fabulous!I really can't say enough good things about this pen. Love it!
