This light has eight modes: Low: 10:30 hrs Medium: 3 hrs High: 1:45 hrs Boost: 1:15 hrs SteadyPulse®: 3 hrs Quad LED Steady: 10:30 hrs Quad LED Flash: 80 hrs DayLightning®: 10 hrs

Q: Can it be pivoted left-right?

Yes, it can be pivoted left-right. Loosen the screw that holds the handlebar mount to the light, pivot in either direction, re-tighten screw. Small raised ‘stops’ limit travel about 35-40 degrees. This allows plenty of room to angle light coverage to match your preferred mounting location and riding style. I angle a slightly to the curb to ease glare somewhat for drivers.

Q: Can the light be detached from the mounting platform like most other Cygolites?

There is no mounting platform for the Dash 320. The light will be attached directly on the handlebar with an elastic rubber band. The band is pretty robust. It keeps the light securely in place through bumps and road vibrations.

Q: Does the base swivel? So that you can adjust the heading?

My apologies..cupl of days back, i mentioned it does not have a swivel function. On the contrary it has got limited swivel function.
