Too heavy for my thin n fine hair!

These hair pins are nice and heavy, solid with no paint to peel off. But they're so smooth and slippery that my hair just pushes them back out. It takes a half dozen to hold my hair in a bun. They're perfectly okay, but they don't work for me.

Unfortunately, the usual hairpins don't keep my flyaway hair in place. I have been using another brand of oversized and wide hairpins and needed more since I chopped off my long hair but those were out of stock so I settled for these. They are large enough, slightly curved so it fits against a curved skull nicely. But I'm not much for the gold color but that was all they offered or had in stock. They come in a little plastic pouch and when I opened the pouch and took out a small handful them to use, found that about 2 our of 3 of them had rust or corrosion where the upper and lower metal pieces push together. These won't last long which is why they are so cheap--and I'll have to go about looking for better replacements in a few months. They are made in China as is a good percentage of things these days.

These are strong, a great length, and the color is very pretty, which matters since they are likely to show. Not many pins can keep my hair in place, especially when doing a side braid and trying to secure the hair on the back of my head, but these shine in that department.

The color is great the length is perfect, the tension is good but the ends are not coated.
