I love this knife
I’m a big fan of high carbon steel blades and this one came really sharp out of the box. Great price and great fit and finish.

This is a gorgeous, well constructed knife. All parts are stainless steel and very durable.

Very good overall and great for the price!
The best knife is the one you’ll actually carry. Sometimes I am apprehensive to carry my expensive Case, Spyderco and other brands every day. This is where the Roper really shines...very good fit and finish of the bolsters, scales and minimal blade rub. The 1065 tool steel is great and minimal maintenance keeps it patina free, unless you WANT patina on the blade, of course, to give it that true “Grandpa’s knife” look. I would buy again...and I have...for gifts.

Not carbon steel folders ROCK
I’ve now purchased 6 or 8 of these Roper knives. For their cost they are great knives. I’m a big fan of carbon steel knives. 1065-1095 is the material of yesterday. IMO it still holds it own as a utility knife blade steel. Easy to sharpen and holds an edge.Over time the blades obtain a patina. Perfect. If you expect your knife to maintain itself then buy stainless. Carbon steel demands attention.

Get what you pay for.
I know I shouldn’t expect much from a $20 knife, but I took a shot. When it arrived, one of the bone scales had a loose brass rivet, causing a separation away from the liner at one end. So much so that you could easily put your fingernail in the space. The scale was noticeably raised away from the bolster. I considered it a $20 lesson from Roper Knives.
