KOHLER99571-TLC-NA Verdera 24" W x 33" H Bathroom Mirror with Lights, Surface Mount Bathroom Wall Mirror

When remodeling our master bathroom we were originally looking at Robern (another brand) recessed medicine cabinets. They were SO expensive. My designer had never used the Kohler recessed cabinets but we decided to go for it because they were so much more reasonably priced and were aesthetically pleasing. (NOTE: Still expensive, but not crazy).They were a little tricky to install (according to my contractor). However, they look great, provide tons of room, very functional. Would definitely buy again. Highly recommend. Attached are photos with doors open and doors closed (note that we had our cabinet contractor add a thin wood frame around the mirrors to match the cabinets).

This Kohler lighted medicine chest replaces the standard mirror + vanity light + medicine chest set.It is really convenient to see my lotions, serums and other products at eye level instead of tucked into low cabinets. The shelves are deep enough for medium sized jars but not so deep that things get lost and buried behind each other.The wall is weight-bearing so I mounted it on the surface. The mirror kit for the sides works well.The lights are on a dimmer switch. Along with a couple of recessed canned lights nearby, there is a good level of lighting for application of make-up.I used a 40" wide Verdera on the wider "her" side vanity and the 32" version for the shorter "his" side.I like that it's different than the traditional boring mirror and vanity light set-up I've seen all of my life.

All in all, the medicine cabinet is nice.Only flaw I noticed is in the round interior magnifying mirror.The track in which this mirror slides relies on is solely on "friction"... from a plastic guide on the back of the door to a plastic "torpedo" on the magnifying mirror.I can see these plastic components wearing out over time and the mirror will no longer hold it's set position.Right out of the box, the magnifying mirror takes 2 hands and even pressure to slide it up or down.The plastic components seem fragile enough that a 1-handed adjustment might snap one of the pieces in the track.In my opinion, it should have been made of something stronger than plastic.

This mirror is so well made and looks awesome! It's frameless, has the mirrors instead and the close up mirror! When recessed, it looks very clean and simple. It's expensive but worth it.

Within a year of installing this mirror, the bottom edges of the front reflective surface has started to rust, which has only gotten worse with time and now extends into the interior mirror areas. I spoke with Kohler customer service rep, who said that it was from using glass cleaner on it, which is what my housekeeper uses, and I would think most anyone uses to clean mirrors. She told me I was only supposed to be using a special cleaner than Kohler sells, and that they won't warranty the mirror if any other cleaning product is used. This was the most expensive mirror I considered when shopping, and thinking that the Kohler brand meant that it was a quality product. The reality is that this is not a quality product, nor will Kohler stand behind it in any way whatsoever. The solution they offered was replace the affected doors, at a cost of almost a brand new mirror. I've lived with it for now, only because replacing it means reworking a wall of porcelain tile at a cost of several thousand dollars. This is extremely disappointing and I could not recommend this mirror or any Kohler product based on my experience. If someone from Kohler would care to contact me I'd love to hear your justification for your product failing in such a way, and your lack of response to the issue.

Mirrored doors should NOT need to be taken off in order to install shelves. This is silly! Additionally, as much as this lovely cabinet costs, the doors should stay where you want them when you want to view the back of your head/hair. Aside from those issues, the size is great and it appears sturdy. The cabinet definitely holds a lot of supplies, but I really wonder about the need for mirrored surfaces inside as well. That also seems silly. Would be so much easier to surface mount if the inside wasn't mirrored, because you will cover up the insides anyway. The soft-close, self closing doors are a nice touch. I like it more than I thought I would. But still think its silly to have to take the doors off to install shelves. What about cleaning?

This fit our needs perfectly- it is extremely heavy duty and looks very high end with the clear glass shelves and added mirrors on the inside of the door and the back of the cabinet. It has become the focal point of our bathroom renovation! I purchased the soft-close hinges in place of the hinges it comes with- so glad I did, the kids and husband are more gentle with the door. Our cabinet is not recessed, the few inches it adds hanging on the wall is minimal compared to how much storage it provides.

Not well described a surface mount kit was needed, as a separate additional cost. Photo shows a surface mount, but spec sheet is unreadable. No where was this clearly shared.

Received as promised and was very well packaged to ensure no damage happens. We have not yet installed the cabinets as we are under construction.

This vanity is awesome! The lights are very bright, really good for makeup application. Very high quality, well made. 10/10 recommend

Gorgeous, high quality product. 1/3 the price of Robern medicine cabinet and equal quality. Soft close doors are a nice feature. Ridiculous that you need to remove the doors to install or move the shelves.
