Excellent Value: Quality and Comfort
I am a chainmailler. The Wubbers are the best for the price. These are quite large, so if you're petite you would probably want the smaller version. These are for "man hands". I have several pair in different styles (chain nose, flat nose, round nose). These hold up exceptionally well and are quite comfortable. I use mine for hours at a time. Highly recommend for the avid intermediate or occasional user. If you can afford the professional Swanstrom series, they're the best IMHO but they're easily twice the price.

Love these pliers, order some more
I love working with these, they are much better in size and comfort if you have arthritic hands than most of the smaller tools on the market. They are very sturdy made as well. Worth the additional cost. I have wasted too much money on poor quality tools, should have purchased these to start with!

Feels great in my hands & increased confidence in my skills!
Excellent quality with firm grip. Since using these and other Classic wubbers, my jewelry making skills has increased drastically. Also, these pliers also made me feel more confident in working with wires due to the handling of it in my hands. I would suggest every beginner who is starting out in wirework to invest in this and their other classic pliers (Avoid the baby ones).

Good decision
Update: A year and one week after I bought them, one of the leaf springs broke off (last week). The remaining leaf spring does nothing, so the pliers don't stay open, and I can't squeeze them. They're lovely, large, and useless. Downgraded one star. If anyone has information on Wubbers warranties, please comment.I'm in love! I can see and feel Wubbers quality -- well-crafted out of robust materials. They feel great and work very well. Substantial, grippy handles and sturdy leaf springs provide precise control over pressure ranging from gentle to full-on. They've handled wire as thick as 14 gauge without strain. In addition, Wubbers buyers get access to the online Wubbers University, with hundreds of free tutorials and courses, among other things. Wubbers are well worth the price, which is still well below Tronex and Lindstrom.

Buy Wubber Tools and you'll be glad you did
What can I say about Wubber tools, they are just the best tools that I have used since I started to make my own jewelry. They are by far the best quality, easy to use, and innovated tools out there. I feel that the price per tool is reasonable, because you are getting what you pay for. I use mine all the time and they still look new.

I really expected these to be better...
I've been making chainmail and jewelry for over 20 years. I had previously read that Wubbers are excellent pliers so I ordered this. As you can see from the photo the jaws are not ground evenly and the joint has far more play than they should have. It is my hope that my pliers are the exception that proves the rule and I just received a bad one.The pliers are comfortable to use and could be outstanding if they didn't have the issues with the jaws and the joint play.

My favorite pliers
These are my favorite pliers for medium- to large-ring chainmaille. They don't mark the metal (if you have a firm grip), and they provide plenty of leverage to work with.If you're using copper, sterling silver, brass, bronze, or aluminum up to 16 (or even 14) gauge, these will work nicely. If you're using smaller than 19 gauge, you might consider smaller pliers.
