Works well. No issues so far after 6 months of use, good value for money.

I was hesitant to spend the extra $50, but this is a great compromise. I previously bought a $65 controller "50 Amp Solar Charge Controller 48V 36 Volt 24V 12V Auto Switch, 50A PWM Panel Voltage Regulator for Lithium ion Lead Acid Lifepo4 Battery " but it overcharged my battery. When the battery was full, that controller gave an E04 - Battery over voltage warning, and CONTINUED to pump my solar voltage directly into the battery, causing the battery voltage to increase to 20v!!! and the internal battery protection module kicked in to prevent a meltdown...THIS Renogy controller is good. I have verified it will ramp down the solar panel output to a level that will NOT over voltage my battery (the level can be set manually if you prefer) while it will still deliver direct solar power to my RV so nothing is drained from the battery.This works like it should, and while it is not the least or most expensive unit available, it is working perfectly for me.

Easy to install and wire up. Works great. I have it hooked up to 2-200W panels but it'll take a lot more. I have the Bluetooth attachment and can easily check system status on my Android phone.

I have many renogy products and have been reasonably happy until now. I bought one of their elite 40 amp units on Feb, 22, 2021. Installed the unit and it worked great until Jan 9th 2023. It went completely dead even though the power is there the screen is blank. After contacting them to see if there was any warranty on the unit I was told it was still under warranty. Great! I ask them where to send it for either repair or replacement because I really don't care which as long as it works when I get it back. They started giving me the run around and I complied by providing everything they asked for. Original invoice, pictures of a dead unit, etc. etc. After 22 emails and waiting between emails between 2 and 4 days at a time they still haven't given me an address to send the unit in for repair. During the process I decided renogy is no longer my choice for solar equipment.

I initially gave this charge controller a bad review. After 6 months, I thought the unit went bad, however the positive lead from the solar panel must have vibrated out of the charge controller. The unit is working again and hopefully it will not vibrate loose again.

Running only two panels but in 100+ degree heat and not having any issues. For some reason stacking the panels in series lead to much more power. In parallel it showed 16 volts at 4-5 amps, but in series I get 30 volts at 4 amps! So like 2x power! Weird. Maybe some weirdness with my panels or maybe there was an issue with my connectors in parallel... But it seems to suggest that lower voltage is less efficient. I wish battery protection disconnect voltage is adjustable, but I have not figured out the interface yet...

Bought this one to upgrade a 20 amp version of the same unit. All of the chargers and solar controllers in my RV are Renogy.

Got 2 hooked up and running fine. Hooking up a thirdto handle 1270 watts of solar panels. Very happy with out put of power.

It works well, is efficient and has a small footprint for a 40amp unit.

Older model but very useful where spaceis a problem.

Has under 100 hours worth of usage (it was my secondary unit so rarely used it) - completely dead now. Instantly shorts anything it's plugged into on the battery side. Because of age no warranty.
