When I first saw that a pair of hair cutting scissors was $90 for a SINGLE pair of scissors, I honestly thought that it was nuts and ridiculously overpriced. However, like an expensive pair of nail cutting clippers or tweezers, once you try it, it’s going to be hard to go back. Every single pair of hair cutting scissor I’ve used before do not hold a candle to the sharpness of of the Kobaruto Haircutting Scissors. These scissors cut through hair like a hot knife through a stick of butter. The Classic Handled scissors are incredibly sharp, cuts super cleanly, and are very lightweight and comfortable to hold. They come in an attractive pleather box along with a small leather cloth to wipe off the blade as well as a tool to help tighten/loosen the screw as needed. When opening and closing the scissors, the movement feels silky smooth and my hand didn’t tire at all while using it. For those who are curious about which size to select, the 5.5”-6” scissors are more for hairdressers for hair dressing techniques, as well as smaller hands, and the 6.5”-7” scissors are more for barbers for over the comb and other barber techniques, as well as for larger hands. I got the 6” scissors and found they were very comfortable to hold suited me fine. While these are more expensive than other full hair cutting scissor sets out there, if you are planning on cutting your family’s hair over the years (and with the current Shelter in Place orders still pretty much in effect) you can consider yourself broken even after eight budget hair cuts. It’s definitely worth considering if you are looking for a high quality pair of scissors that cuts super cleanly.

I got these because i was gifted a set of Japanese steel knife set a couple of years back, and they have been the best knifes i'v ever owned so i fell in love with Japanese made blades of any kind. The scissors are very sharp and close very precisely. The metal feels very strong and the powder coat paint feels very nice, it has great grip because of the matte paint.The scissors come in a very nice case and have an included adjustment tool and a little rag to clean them that looks like leather. When using the tightening tool you can feel the nut click instead of having a regular twist to tighten, which is great to avoid unwanted loosening. The finger holes didn't fit at first but then i saw that they have a removable inset, now they fit perfectly even though i have chubby fingers.I got the scissors because i'm trying to learn to groom my own dogs after various bad experiences at dog groomers because my Yorkie is very timid. I'v been buying decent tools like dog clippers and different blade sizes, but what i was struggling with was the scissors. I was using regular scissors but my dog has very fine hair that almost feels like cotton that regular scissors wont cut correctly, these cut that hair with ease.

I am a hairstylist and so far, I have been very pleased with these scissors. They’re sharp, not as heavy as what I typically use but very satisfied.

Not sharp at all , little dull

Very disappointed. Shears do not even close all the way. Thick and bulky blades. Not what I was looking for.

Very well made better than all the rest

The media could not be loaded. + This is made of Japanese cobalt metal which is considered the best scissors steel in the world. Cobalt steel means 440C grade of stainless steel.+ Very sharp. In my video you can see how easily it cuts a single ply of kleenex+ Neither loose or tight but it comes with a key to adjust the tension if needed+ I love the Black color and the Japanese logo, it makes me feel like a Samurai :)+ Lightweight 44grNo cons.Highly recommended.
