This is Dr. Martens classic 3 eye shoe. The second style that Dr. Martens made, the shoe was crafted for industry, made rebellious by generations of non-conformists.

I still love them.
I want to start of by saying I love Dr Martens. I’ve been wearing them since i was nipper back in the 12th century. Ok, times have changed and with it all social and geographical boundaries have been crossed and recrossed. Each new generation has claimed to be the true generation that will be wearing their 1460s while the revolution that was going to be televised was called off because no one watches cable anymore. Yes, quality has dropped and getting the inexpensive and unequaled quality bouncing soles that I used to buy, is as far away as the countries that these are now outsourced too. There are of course the more expensive made in England line which at a price duplicates the ones from my youth that were very affordable and didn’t involve having to sale your granny. As much as we hate the Chinese outsourcing just bare in mind that they made this move to avoid bankruptcy. So for the people that complain that they're not as good as they used to be, remember that you came pretty close to not having anything to complain about, other than your Vietnamese Converse. What most people don't know is Doctor Martens had a twin brother called Solovair which are still made in England at the Doctor Martens factory. Prices are pretty high but they're worth checking out.A piece of advice. I've seen some photos where the leather has split, but they also looked like they've not been cared for. Get some wonder balsam or equivalent and condition them often. They'll crease around your foot nicely and stay protected from whatever nature throws at them.

Disappointing quality
So.... I got these in a size smaller than my usual DM size, knowing these run larger (sinc they are Men's) and the fit is ok for me but the "made one China" quality is just so bad. I guess I'll find out about the durability of the shoes as I wear them but the stitching consistency are extremely irregular and just plain stupid. I know my pictures don't show that well but in person, the yellow stitchings on these shoes are much shorter than my all other DMs (like by 1/3 at least), and some stitches are longer and some are super short, making the shoes look like a knock off or defective item. I got them for a very good price during the Prime Day deal so I'll keep them but I think DM should raise their quality control bar a little bit higher than this. I am disappointed at my purchase to be honest.

youll need a jack hammer to break these in.
Bought these for work in a restaurant because they have non slip soles.I've owned many pairs of docs and would not recommend these to anyone who walks more than 30 steps per day. Very tight and restricting and they hurt my feet even though my feet are tough. After normal break-in period these things still hurt. The last thing I want to worry about while milking tourist for tips is my feet.

Comfortable but not reliable
The shoe fits well and is comfortable. I purchased this shoe with the special non skid treads on the bottom as required for kitchen safety shoes. This is what’s happening to them. The soles are coming off. This is really inexcusable for this caliber of shoe and the price point. Doctor Martens has a great reputation, but these shoes did not live up to that.

Doctor Marten's came through and replaced. I recommend the UK-made Docs.
DM came through. So, my first pair of Doc Martens are still going strong after 23 years of regular wear, this pair I purchased is not. I have 5 other pairs, all in various states, mostly very good. My newest of those 6 pairs is maybe 17 years old. I have no concerns with any of them, other than wear-and-tear.This pair I purchased in December 2016 blew out the Air Wair sole in less than 6 months. I used some shoe glue to repair, but they have continued to come undone. At first, the quality on these appeared to be superlative. I'm very disappointed in the lack of quality in this pair of shoes.I recently did some research, discovering that they closed most of their UK manufacturing facilities and now manufacture in Thailand, and maybe somewhere else. This came as a shock to me. I've seen that problem with the soles is not an uncommon problem.I have always advocated for Doc Martens shoes and boots, and will continue to do so, but will also from now only recommend the UK-made shoes. Sure, the price is easily double. My first pair is 23 years old and still good. That's is a value that can't be made up for with a lower price.Incredibly disappointing.UPDATE: After contacting Dr. Marten's, I was asked to provide pictures and a detailed description, then answer some questions. I received a return authorization. Adter the shoes were inspected, i received a new pair within a few weeks. Made in China. I still intend to purchase only UK made DM shoes and boots from now on, but these seem to be holding up fine.

Chinese made-not original!
These are made in China, not the UK. Amazon or Zappos should really add that disclaimer, as I would not have gotten them at $120.00. They definitely are much more cheaply made than the originals I who’re in the 1990’s. The leather is thinner and harder, the insoles aren’t as plush, overall the shoe is lighter overall. With that being said, the look nice and seem to fit ok. I just got them on 3-25-2020, so time will tell.In this day and age, Amazon really needs to note the actual country of origin, or note if it is a lower-grade product.

Dr Martens made in Vietnam
Please be careful with this product. Reading other reviews some are delighted some are appalled. Thought I would be delighted opening the box and seeing these nice shoes. I thought the poor scores were just grumblers how I apologise to them!It took weeks to even be able to walk to the top of my street in them. The leather - not sure if it is leather - has never softened and does not feel remotely supple. I ordered these on 25th November 2017 spent at least 5 weeks trying to bed them in so minimal wear. After Christmas I was able to wear them a couple of times a week so long as I did not stray far from the house. Wore them today for work a ten minute walk away and during a meeting noticed that the sole on the right shoe has come away at the side - a significant gaping hole. Minimal wear the insoles still look like new. I cannot find anywhere on the Amazon site that let's you return faulty goods. My return window is showing as closed. My fault pay cheap get cheap but scared now to cough up to buy the made in England ones at £150 a pop. These are certainly to be avoided and yet I really wanted to like them.

Looked great but disappointed in a couple of weeks. Don’t buy, buy from DM shop or online only.
Was delighted with my purchase. Hard at back but looked great.Shoes took longer to break in than expected. After 4 weeks upper burst despite using all proper polished and moisturisers.Upper also warped.I take care of my shoes and they last long. Other docs have lasted years. These are not right. Don’t buy them.I went to DM and paid the extra in the shop.I’ve sent back my shoes. Most disappointing purchase ever. I was so pleased when they came but the were so wrong.I think amazon should remove the listing.I’d give 0/5 if possible.

Are these real Dr Martens?
These at first appearance look like genuine DR Martens! They seem to be lighter than they use to be. I have only worn them over two months a few times due to the Covid 19 lockdown and they have split down the sides. I also noticed these are made in Thailand not England as they are usually. This should not matter, but the quality is not there. I do question whether these are genuine?

I've tried wearing them in but I'm left feeling like I'd rather get rid of my feet after wearing ...
I was a little skeptical to order these after having owned 3 pairs of Dr Marten boots which I haven't gotten on with whatsoever. I've tried wearing them in but I'm left feeling like I'd rather get rid of my feet after wearing them.I'm normally a 4.5 in shoes, but bought a size 4 for these. & they're super roomy but not too big :) I have quite wide feet so they're just right for me, and much to my surprise were very comfortable on first wear! Although I do need to wear 2 pairs of socks with them for now while the leather softens up.Very happy :)

Splitting after one month of wearing
Very disappointed with this product as splitting after just one month of wearing. I do not wear these excessively and use proper care for them. I feel that these dr martens are not legit as after having a pair for several years bought from official dr marten shop they did not do this. I have trusted dr martens as a brand for many years and feel their products are made to last, however this pair did not. Do not recommend buying these.
