This style of fittings (Grohe Atrio) will work in a Modernist, Art Deco scheme. Functional form and not overly minimalistic which can be a bit common these days.The design came in 2001, together with the whole tap series. Still looks stunning in 2015. They have been used in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel chain which I saw it after we installed it together with the rest of the series in our bathroom.I assured you it shall not be dated in style and the quality is amazing. Very solid and heavy (inner brass with thick heavy chrome). Three screws needed for one side, how solid is that in terms of functionality! The chromium finish is first class, it will not stain nor pit (even in twenty years time I imagine). One pays for what one gets. Love it!

You know it's bad when one is compelled to write a negative review about a *hook*.One very important thing to note is that this hook won't actually hold a towel (neither bath towel nor hand towel). The smooth horizontal prongs don't grip anything and the towel slides right off. I tried light and heavy towels. The only way the towel will stay on is if you roll up the edge and use friction to push the towel into the niche.It's too bad because I have the faucet and wanted matching hooks. Oh well!I think this hook would work if you wanted to hang something that had a built-in loop (e.g. robe or face towel).

Beautiful and functional towel hooks!My hand towels and 500-gram bath towels hang without difficulty on these hooks.
