Orolay Women's Thickened Down Jacket

I LOVE this coat. I absolutely LOVE this coat. I get compliments EVERY a time I wear it. It’s fashionable warm cute has a great hood (I got the NO FUR) option.Can we talk about the tons of zippered pockets. It is GREAT for the city going with out wanting to bring a big bag for the day. My teen son and I went to NYC for the day took the train. I was able to put my keys in one pocket, a eye glass case in another (to swap out sunnies for regular), store our gloves for when we didn’t need them. I had hand sanitizer in one. My phone in another.I only had a small purse inside my coat. I didn’t feel weighed down at all!!!*****ONE buyer BEWARE******If you purchase on a great sale and the fit is off then you want to exchange the size it it may not be an even return. You must repurchase. If the price goes up. Your out of luck. That happened to me. I bought on a Black Friday deal. I was waiting for a price drop! Price on this jacket goes up and down! I orderd a small. The arms were CHILD like. The jacket is so roomy the rest was a fine fit but it was a NO GO, I looked soooo silly.I had to send it back. They would not match the price I bought for. Only offered a coupon code that did not come close to what I paid.So sadly I sent it back. Watched and waited for the price drop and then bam 💥 as soon as it did I pulled the trigger and ordered the Medium and I am beyond happy. Fits great and am thrilled with the purchase.UNDERSTAND this IS A BIG, LOOSE coat, fashion forward non classic coat. If you want that this is for you. That was what I was looking for.The color options are amazing. I also love the Army Green and Taupe like color. Even the red is gorgeous! That’s my two cents. I don’t usually review but this one deserves it. Happy shopping.

This is a good winter coat with plenty of pockets. My only concern is the stitching isn’t that great all around. Some places the stitching is very sturdy and others not so much. Overall, this coat will keep you very warm and comfortable. If you’re in a snowy climate, this is the perfect coat for winter.

2021 update — loved my old jacket so much that I decided after 2 1/2 years to buy another one. Then they went on sale, so I bought two! They arrived quickly packed in little bags to compress and protect them. There are a few differences from my old one. Sizing seems more accurate. I previously sized up, but the coat still felt a little skimpy in the arms and at the hip. These are the same size but much roomier. Not sure if the old one was sized incorrectly, or if they’ve adjusted due to customer feedback. These will be far more comfortable and leave room for a bulky sweater or a wool jacket underneath. I was thinking of returning them for my usual size since these seem a bit puffier due to added material and the front zippers are a bit more prominent, but I think these will be a lot better for commuting … I no longer need to unzip the sides to sit down. The other differences I noticed were these have a silver and black interior at the back so the lining isn’t all orange anymore … and in the navy blue one, the orange fabric lining is stamped Orolay all over— Perhaps this is an anti counterfeit measure? The red one has the same black with silver dot section of lining, but the orange part is logo-less. Speaking of logos, the navy coat also has an Orolay logo on the sleeve ( the red one and my old black one do not). I’m not a fan of clothing with obvious logos, but this is fairly discreet and not a deal breaker. I’m guessing the red coat I got was older stock and the blue one is newer —or it’s possible the navy one is a fake. Stamping Orolay all over might be overcompensation! The collar label is completely different and it doesn’t have a catchy saying on it like the other ones do…it just says “Made in China.” It would be interesting to hear from the manufacturer when/if this change in design occurred. Another difference is the new ones both have an interior chest pocket. All said, I think these are great coats. Hoping I get as much wear and enjoyment from them as I did from my original. I’d be curious to know how to brighten up the “fleece” hood lining without washing the full garment — I doubt it would survive our washing machines, but compared to the new ones, it looks a bit dingy. All said, I’d give these coats an enthusiastic thumbs up. Old review follows, below:Love the jacket's styling and the construction seems sturdy. Very comfortable and warm when it's cold outside, but still wearable indoors while shopping or in milder spring weather. I didn't feel overheated ( but did need to unzip!) The down seems well distributed, and so far it hasn't been coming out. the parachute-like cloth exterior seems sturdy, and I really like the orange lining. Some stitching seemed a bit loose and one snap seemed fragile, but I generally think it's well made. I really like the look of the big hood as a wide collar, and the pockets are handy. I sized up and it fits fine, tho I wish it were a few inches longer. ( it hits me just below the thigh at front, but it's about 2 inches longer in the back, so wearing leggings is still an option. . It feels much less bulky than other down jackets I've owned -much narrower in the arms and shoulders so it gives less of a "Michelin man" round silhouette. It hangs very nicely as an open jacket. When zipped up It feels a bit snug at the hip for me, but the extra zippers at the side can be opened for a slightly looser fit. Suggest buyers go up one or two sizes, depending on whether or not you plan to wear bulky clothing, especially jackets or sweaters, underneath, or if you prefer a loose fit. As others have said, the zippers are a little sticky, and there are some weird ribbons (zipper pulls?) that dangle. Not sure how long they'll last. But otherwise, I'm very pleased with it. I've already gotten several compliments- and several people I know are planning to get one ( or one in a similar style). Price point makes this a no brainer- if you're on the fence, just buy it! You will definitely enjoy it. And at the rate this winter has been going, you may be able to wear it until May!

This coat met my expectations. It looks terrific and fits perfectly. The insulation is warm and comfortable and appears to be durable.

This is the warmest coat I ever owned I love the style. I got the color green without the fur. I plan on buying another one.

Il capo è arrivato nei tempi corretti all'interno di una custodia con zip. Si presenta benissimo, per me è davvero splendido ma ho dovuto renderlo perchè troppo grande... Sto valutando l'acquisto nella taglia corretta, ma il colore che volevo non c'è più... In ogni caso sperando di fare cosa gradita a tutti vi allego la tabella misure che mi ha mandato il fornitore (purtroppo troppo tardi). E' vera piuma, consigliatissimo davvero.

Il prodotto è molto carino, ben fatto, ma purtroppo mi hanno inviato la taglia sbagliata (ben due taglie in meno!). Ora lo dovrò restituire e ricomprare ad un prezzo superiore...o aspettare di nuovo gli sconti. Non è di piume d'oca, ma ha un'imbottitura sintetica che è comunque calda e morbida. Si può allargare aprendo delle cerniere sui fianchi e dei bottoni sul davanti. Per capire meglio le taglie, che non sono proprio chiarissime, ho misurato il gubbino che mi è arrivato e se può aiutare, nella tabella che allego ci sono le misure di:Middle back length: è la misura della schiena da spalla a spalla all'altezza delle scapoleBust: è la misura della circonferenza, all'altezza del petto, del giubbotto con tutte le cerniere e bottoni per allargare aperte (quelle sui fianchi e sul davanti),bottom width: sono le misure della circonferenza, all'altezza del petto, con tutte le cerniere e bottoni per allargare chiusi (così come si vede in foto per intendersi).Sleeve lenght: è la lunghezza della manica dalla spalla fino al polso.

Cette veste est incroyablement chaude et confortable...avant de l'avoir lavée, le problème est que cela fait 3 fois que je la lave et déjà au 2ème lavage, j'avais remarqué que le rembourrage intérieur se mettait en paquet et que du coup, il y avait des endroits ou seul le tissu était sur notre peau mais après le 3ème lavage c'est la cata !! Tout le rembourrage intérieur est en gros paquet par endroit dans la doublure et je me demande même s'il s'agit bien de plumes car en essayant de séparer à la main ces gros paquets, cela ne ressemble pas à la texture de plumes.Je suis très déçu car j'ai acheté une super veste d'hiver très chaude qui s'est transformée après peu de lavages en veste sans aucune doublure par endroit puisque tout s'est mis en paquet.

Diese Jacke hat mich überrascht. Sie wirkt riesig auf den ersten Blick ich hatte sie in M bestellt. Meine Konfektionsgröße ist 36. Passt perfekt an Schultern und Ärmel, S wäre zu knapp. Sie ist kuschelig, leicht und anpassbar durch Seitenreissverschlüsse. Innenfutter etwas kühl Flies wäre da besser. Perfekt auch für Outdooreinsatz im mittleren Kältebereich bis leichte Minusgrade. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Prima volta in assoluto che acquisto un capo on line. Bellissimo, esattamente come me lo aspettavo, caldo e comodissimo grazie alle mille tasche, che permettono di uscire anche senza borsa. La mia indecisione era sulla taglia, ma trattandosi di un modello over, non ho avuto grosse difficoltà: sono alta 1,70 e peso 58 kg: perfetta la S!
