Perfect deal for beginners.
It’s such an amazing guitar for beginners because you’re not cheeping out on something low quality and you’re not breaking the bank either. It’s a beautiful guitar with a beautiful finish and sounds great. It feels very solid and well built. Gretsch hit a perfect balance between quality and cost. It’s getting a bit of a bad review because of shipping, and I don’t think people quite understand it isn’t Gretsch’s fault. Just USPS or whatever mailing service being careless with packages like usual. And to be honest, Gretsch really did try their best to protect it. Mine arrived without a single scratch, and the box itself I swear is some mutant version of cardboard. Had to set a 650 pound filing cabinet on top of the box (with the guitar out of the box) and the box barely even bent…As for customer support, I can’t say whether it’s good or bad, mostly because I never had to contact them. Mine arrived without a single hitch and I can say for the first time I am not having buyers remorse.

Lovely fit and finish and a suprisingly sweet neck position
The media could not be loaded. I have a lot of guitars around this price point, including Harley Bentons, Tagimas, Squiers, etc. This Gretsch definitely holds its own against any of them. I've never played a Gretsch-style guitar so I decided to take a punt on this one to try it out and decide if I wanted to get a pricier model. For the price, this is a really nice instrument. The neck is insanely well finished, and plays perfectly out of the box. It literally needed no set up at all. The nut on mine was pretty well cut with only a little binding on the G and D strings that went away with some lubrication. The guitar is pretty heavy but that might contribute to its nice sustain.I wouldn't say I adore the broadtron pickups, but they're fine and pretty versatile. The exception is the neck position which absolutely sings! All in all, this isn't as "fun" as some of my other $200-$300 guitars, but it's probably the best built and definitely has a unique look and feel. I like it better than any of my Harley Bentons and Squiers and only slightly less than my Tagimas.

299.99 !?
I think somebody at Gretsch either made a mistake or is doing some pretty slick marketing. I've playing/buying/selling/moding guitars for over 60 years. Everything about it is pretty darn good, from the setup to the electronics. My biggest fear purchasing this item was the intonation (you cannot intonate each string), but much to my surprise, the intonation was nearly perfect! This guitar should be selling for 2or 3 times the price.

Absolutely fantastic guitar
I do not see how Gretsch could pack so much quality at such a low price. I have owned a lot of guitars, but I prefer this one to any I have. I place it right up there with my Les Paul Jr. for playability and sound. You wont go wrong with this one. I know it is a stripped down model without a lot of bells and whistles but it is solid and can hold it's own anywhere.

My friends guitar..a decent price point
Before I offer my unbiased review, I'd like to say one thing, maybe 2, okay, 1.5 things:1. I feel it is abundantly unfair to any seller that their products receives a brutal review simply because of an inept delivery service that either damaged the product, arrived late, or for whatever reason. That's unless the seller is the one that packed the item wrong causing damage..5. Please review their product based on the product itself.REVIEW: for the most part it's well made. The pickups are good for the price point. The neck has an amazing feel and is easy to play. Frets are nice and smooth. The neck is nice and straight. My only complaint is you can't intonate each individual string - the guitar came with the intonation already done. It was not done perfectly, but it is passable. In short; it's a nice entry level Gretch that offers good sound and easy and fun playability. It's worth the money spent.

Check out the body looks like mahogany but it’s made out of this would called NATO
Well things I like about the guitar it’s a solid natural wood that looks like mahogany but it’s called NATO it’s a very beautiful guitar my only complaint is supposedly they said it up at the factory from Greg but by the time I got here or going through all the different climates it needs to be taken into the guitar shop rite have to watch a bunch of videos and learn how to adjust my guitar neck and Bridge and then Internation they all need to be addressed
