Essential Knowledge for CNL and APRN Nurse Leaders

As a freshly certified CNL, this book is fantastic. While a lot of the information is found in my other CNL books, this expands upon most topics and helps organize it all into one volume instead of having to reference multiple books. One could really just use this book and forget about the other CNL books on the market. Another thing that I like is that it helps apply the concepts to the real world. Knowing what a SWOT analysis or a 5Ps assessment is won't help you if you don't know why or for what you are doing them. This book helps bridge the gap between theory and practice. If there was only one negative I could say about this book is that the pages tend to be on the thinner side and highlighters bleed through to the other page which is annoying, but it's a minor gripe. Overall, I would recommend this book mostly for CNLs. I don't think APRN's will get much out of it unless they are in the leadership side of things instead of being active in clinical practice.

This is an essential book for the CNL student. I have many books on the the CNL role and leadership, but this one is my favorite because it is the most comprehensive and has information that is easy to understand. I am using it to study for the CNL exam
