Expensive but a great change
First of all.... it makes me sad that I didn't know about these sticks earlier. I got the white ones. So if you are a showman or do any flashy stick tricks these are perfect for it. The white also has the ability to show a sharpie (readable) Autograph if you're asked for them. They are easy to see from the distance. And a fun change.I have a Roland TD 30SE and I haven't seen any stick marks on any of it so far and I've use these things for 4 days. I absolutely love them. Comparing them to Vic Firth (to me) they feel identical. As far as being balanced, size and overall feel of the stick. Whenever I change sticks this dramatically (meaning the coating) I always get blisters. I was surprised that I didn't get them.I will take pictures of what I'm comparing them to. Just in case you have the same sticks. My pink sticks have the coating on them. But they're not 7A sticks. So the size is obviously different but the way they feel in my hands are identical. (They are the Vic Firth American classic 5A.) The plain sticks are also Vic Firth American classic hickories. Size weight and balance are all identical. So these hotsticks hold their own BUT they're $4 more expensive. It just seem so steep to pay 4$ more for color. And... if you're still working on Dynamics or you're an extremely heavy hitter. These sticks probably wouldn't be good for you financially.:)
