This is an excellent, sturdy mount and well worth getting.However, please note: Winchester changed the action on calibers like the 7mm-08 which the industry calls "short-action", but now Winchester makes these using the WSM-size action. So if you have a new-ish short-action Winchester 70, you probably need the WSM model instead of this one. (For more details see the exact spacing chart on the DNZ products web site.)Would give 5 stars except for the lack of clarity (on Amazon's part, not DNZ) about the appropriate model.

DNZ Game Reaper Mounts are the BEST!!

This mount is well made and a quality product. However, it requires more information for models it fits. It does not fit my Winchester Model 70 .270 WSM which is short action.

Good quality mount
I purchased the mountfor my .243 Shadow's Redfield scope. I've fired the weapon at least thirty times no with absolutely no issues.
