This is one of those things that are nice to have in your toolbox. I have other countersinks, but this universal countersink is easy to put on a sharp bit and not have to look for the right size.

Bought this to do some "reverse countersink" work (ie where the inside face of a hole needs countersunk and you can't get at it from behind) - I believe it would do the job but have not actually used it (I changed direction on my project so never needed the reverse-countersink holes).

Expensive and not worth it - get yourself a good countersink and make the hole first

I bought this as I’m a joiner, and was recommended by a fellow joiner. I thought it would help when countersinking timber frames, I countersunk 2 frames before the countersink cutting edges sheared off. I’ve not hit anything hard it’s only been going in to softwood. I’m very disappointed with this as it’s not cheap for what it is. This is the 2nd one I’ve bought from you and both haven’t lasted past a few frames, You see on the dates of purchase when I have bought these.
