As a new cat mom, I hemmed and hawed over buying an automatic feeder, but it's been one of the smartest pet purchases I've made thus far. I bought it about three months ago and love it! This feeder is not only adorable and fits in well with my other decor, but was extremely easy to set up. I use all four meals, and it holds ~two weeks worth of food for my medium-large cat. My schedule varies so I'm often away from home during mealtime, and no longer have to rely on roommates, wake up early, or race home for to feed my cat. I love that it gives me flexibility as a young person to spend a night away from home when needed or to go out on day trips. If you're a pet parent with a busy schedule, I can't recommend it enough!

I like being able to program it once and fill it every week or so. The stainless bowl is great and easy to clean. Honestly don’t know how one would clean the inside. Wish there was a better seal to prevent ants from getting into it. Like having the option to run it on batteries instead of having to keep it plugged in.

The media could not be loaded.  After 4 months of happy use providing daily feeds to my beloved feral cats last night my camera caught the wildest video. FOUR raccoons against the Dogness pet feeder. The feeder survived the massive whack. Just when you think the coons are ready to give up the video looks as if nothing is going to change they come back pull and push the feeder in every direction. I mean this pet feeder already was amazing becauseit is very easy to set up and make changes of meal portions and times of the day. But when I saw the beating it took and how it stayed closed. This thing gets a 10 star rating. FEEDER WON!!

Overall, this is an excellent product. Easy to set up, a variety of portion sizes available, meals + snack options, and it enables me to leave for a weekend without concern of my cats being fed. They don’t do well with free-feeding, so this device is amazing for my sense of freedom and ability to leave more often.That being said…My tabby cats love food so much that they learned how to get the food out of the automatic feeders by knocking them over repeatedly. I was trying to prevent their meal time meows, which did cease, but now we have a new problem to manage. For now, I have squished both feeders in between furniture so that they can’t be moved. That mostly does the trick! But is not aesthetically pleasing (kind of the point of buying these matching colored feeders).I would still recommend this product. But had to deduct a star from this review because it was very annoying to continually reprogram and refill each feeder after the cats repeatedly knocked them over.Big cats, man. No one warns you of the lengths they will go for food. *shrug*

My cat has health issues that require frequent feeding, so I was looking for a small, unobtrusive feeder that would allow me to give him small quantities of dry food at night (he eats freeze-dried raw otherwise). After reading reviews of feeders that allow control via phone, I really wanted something simple that wouldn't have software issues.This was the smallest feeder I could find and it does just what I need.Pros:-Allows me to feed very small portions (I measured, and the smallest unit is 2 teaspoons of dry food)-Has removable metal dish rather than attached plastic, which is important for keeping clean and preventing feline acne_Dish is shallow and wide enough that it doesn't bother his whiskers-Takes up very little space-I like the shape though control panel looks a bit old school-The lid has a latch (the other model I was going to buy by same company doesn't) and an insert to keep food dry-The military clock means I don't accidentally confuse AM/PMCons-Setting options is a bit awkward because buttons require a fair amount of pressure and the control layout isn't very ergonomic.-The inner chamber doesn't have a removable hopper for cleaning, so it's a little more work to clean out.The recording playback is a little unsettling honestly, but it gets my cat's attention, and his love of crunchies quickly overpowered his trepidation.I might have given four stars due to the cons, but the pros far outweigh them for me--this was the only small capacity feeder I could find anywhere and it's straightforward to use.

We bought this for our very food motivated cat who has been a challenge to feed because he will literally eat *all* the food if it’s in his bowl so there was no way to leave extra if we had to be away at mealtime. Plus he was always waking us up at the crack of dawn to be fed.We tried another type of feeder with covered bowls that flip open, but it didn’t seal so he just went insane trying to get them open and would mess up the dial timer so that it would open late.So far so good with this one though. He tried the first day to get his paw up the shoot and get to the food, but after being unsuccessful, he’s left it alone. The recording sounded bad so we erased it, but the sound of the food falling into the bowl is plenty to get him dashing across the house for his meal.He also gets a 4am feeding now so he’s not waking us up anymore. It’s awesome!The only thing I would change would be to have a removable insert inside that could be washed. Not sure how I’m going to be able to do that effectively.

Very easy to set up & program. So far reliable (I have only had it two weeks) and my cat doesn't harass me in the morning for food anymore! She just waits to hear the kibble drop into the metal dish and off she goes. I am very happy with the purchase.

Bought this for our cat who has been on weight loss diet. We have the unit upstairs and it dispenses small portions 4 times a day. He had no issues whatsoever eating from the provided dish. It can be a little on the noisy side when it dispenses..but that works great for our cat, as he hears it and runs up the stairs. Exercise and portion control...win-win.

The manual had very small print. However Instructions were easy to follow. I purchased this to help control my cat’s diet. The portion control is in increments from 1 to 39. Lots if choice for serving size.
