Work like champ

I lost my car key twice in 2019 and each time cost me around £200 to replace the key. invest £20-30 for a good key finder make good sense. The first product I came across was XY Findit, which does not work at all. I bought Chipolo and Tile Mate each and try them at home. Both Chiplo and Tile Mate claim to have 200 feet range. However, I find Chipolo is always connected around house and Tile Mate lost connection from time to time. My Tile Mate failed after two week and I sent it back for replacement. Tile Mate has more functions but some of them require further subscription. I find Chipolo more reliable for the job it is designed to do.

Pro: Helped me find keys and phone several times a week. Saved me several hours so far and very helpful when I was in a hurry. Overall a very useful add on.Cons:- Sometimes disconnects from phone saying it needs location - why?- Only one stupid tune- Keeps complaining about not sharing location saying it's urgent. GPS drains my battery. I get it helps locate the phone if it's out of Bluetooth range but I don't want it always on- just a suggestion but it would be helpful on the keychain if it was smaller. I dont think it needs to be this size.

These discs do not work unless they are in range of your phone bluetooth or home WiFi signal and even then the tracking app is not very accurate. If you attach it to your keys and they are inside your home, you can use the audible alarm to locate them (although on the map it may say they're in the street, or in a neighbours house, you can pretty much ignore the map function on the app).If you attach it to something that leaves your home (e.g. luggage or say a cat) It relies on all the other Chipolo apps "joining forces" to tell you were your disc is, and their simply aren't enough. I live in a city and I got no response to the search function. It is not GPS and when it is in range the accuracy is poor.We bought this because it didn't have a monthly subscription attached to it. False economy. Our cat lost its collar and although the disc was attached we have no idea where the collar is. Pointless.We're going to have to bite the bullet and get a tracker with a monthly fee.

Very useful device, prevents me from loosing items!

These are Chipolo One. Not Chipolo ONE POINT. They dont work with Google find my device.Im new to trackers. Good piece of kit but confusing names means I thought I was buying the model that was compatible with Google find my device but it turns out that the model here only connects via the app and cant be located by anything other than uses of the app. I should have read the description more closely.

Really easy to set up with the app. So pleased I have ordered the cards for my wallet and passport. Most impressed. That was until I tried to link it, as they suggested, with Google Home. Absolute nightmare. Having spent much of yesterday failing to make that aspect work, I emailed their support folk. Who then just sent me the same information as I had read on the website. Completely ignoring all the technical information that had been sent with my initial report. Boo hoo. Why is nothing ever simple?Anyway, after a bit of doing and froing between me and Primož, based in Trbovlje, Slovenia (EU), all was well. Note to others: Give your Chipolo cards and tags a simple name, I made it too difficult for Google. Now I can find MY KEYS, MY PASSPORT etc without difficulty. Well done Primož.

Bought these as a gift in the belief that these were now able to “track” luggage etc. Unfortunately it appears this is not the case. I contacted chipolo and there are different types, these only work when within Bluetooth range of the mobile they are set up on. Basically a waste of money.
