Perfect!
Replacement part fits perfectly. Was able to find a very good video on you tube searching for part WR17X11705. It walked me step by step through the process. I had read in the comments from someone else to slide the blades and spacers off on to a small screwdriver and that was a great idea. I have also read in some reviews that the crushed ice didn't work but the cube did and they didn't mind since that is all they used. On mine both work perfectly. I think the main issue would be to make sure the blades are pointing the same direction as before. Saved a ton of money by DIY as well as time. I used to stand for so long hoping ice would come out or opening the freezer door just to shake the bin. All that is over now!

Not a direct replacement
The auger fits and works, "mostly". Replacement is pretty easy. The metal shaft near the threads needs to be ground some to make the flat part longer. I didn't do that so I can't get crushed ice. Which I didn't use much anyway. Other than that, the auger works fine for getting regular ice.

Perfect
My original icemaker auger broke after about seven years. I found this one on Amazon. It matched the numbers. It looked just like the auger I had so I ordered it. Installation was easy & simple in around five minutes. If you are concerned with installation because of the rotating blades at the back of your auger, have no fear there is a YouTube video. Sorry I can’t link it. That will help you install this in five minutes. Now when that sucker tells you to take those blades off one by one and not to forget the order, it is not necessary. The whole blade unit at the back of the auger comes off in one big piece just transfer that to the new auger. Easy Peezy in under five minutes. I now have the flow of ice and I am very pleased with this purchase.

Replaced broken auger, working very well.
Used on GE 20 cubic foot side by side 2013 model. Most of old auger was broken by previous homeowners, as was shield to keep ice from falling out of bucket. Watched a couple videos first, removing old auger had some minor challenges (after 9 years in place…), installed new one as videos showed, works like a charm. Just make sure to take note of how the blades are arranged but they’re not hard to put back on correctly.Note - did not replace the broken ice shield ($40 for aftermarket part) and still no issues with ice dispenser. Works great now. Thanks!

A perfect replacement
This ice maker auger is a perfect fit replacement for the auger in my old GE GSF25IGZB BB refrigerator/freezer. The original auger lasted for many years, but then half of the front part of the blade broke off and got lodged in the ice crushing mechanism, resulting in that part not working correctly but also in the whole thing not dispensing ice because there was no blade to push it out the door. This replacement auger solved that problem immediately. It only took 20 minutes to install, and that's only because I had to figure out how to take the ice bucket assembly apart since I'd never done it before. I do recommend taking the bucket out of the freezer and emptying it, then letting it dry and come to room temp before installing the auger. It just made things easier. The auger itself is solid - metal and heavy plastic for the blade. It looks practically identical to the original, and its dimensions were exactly the same, so it fit precisely like the old one.I'm so happy to have a fully functional ice dispenser again!
