These spoons have a nice, hefty feel. They work great. I'm a big grapefruit lover, so I use them almost every day. The serrated edges are positioned perfectly. There's no issue with cutting your tongue or your lips. They come in a nice, little box, so if you use them rarely you can put them away and find them later.

I love grapefruit but don't always like to work so hard to get at the fruit. These spoons help so I don't have to cut every section with a knife. The serrated part does the job without injuring your mouth. Very pleased with this purchase .

The media could not be loaded.  As many have already lamented here, a good grapefruit spoon is so hard to find. These are definitely satisfactory to me.Pros: They cut the grapefruit, but not your mouth. The serrations are far enough up the side of the spoon to do a good job. The spoons feel reasonably substantial. To boot, the presentation is quite nice when they come in the mail.Cons: Visual quality is quite nice, but the spoons do have some inconsistencies and imperfections (tiny pits in some handles, smooth ridges down some of the bowls).And in-betweens: I would personally prefer a bit more substantial handle, but at least these don't cut into my hand like some I've tried. The bowls of the spoons are fairly thick, which does make for a little bit of a juicy mess when cutting into the first segment of the grapefruit; but I think I actually like it better than the thinner spoons I used to have simply because I don't have to be so ginger about taking the bite off of the spoon. Overall, for the price, I can recommend these as a decent option.

I've been looking off and on for a while for a worthy grapefruit spoon set. Anytime you buy a spoon like this you have to be cautious. It has to be sharp and strong enough to saw through grapefruit flesh, yet not saw through your lips when you eat with it! I have never been so happy with a silverware purchase as I am with this one. This is the perfect grapefruit spoon. They are strong, have the perfect long scoop shape without being too thick or thin. The teeth are sharp, but somehow tuck in just under the outside edge of the bowl end of the spoon so it doesn't irritate your lips. I'd still be careful with this, just because it is still sharp and has the potential to hurt you, but I'd rather have this spoon above any other grapefruit spoon I have ever seen - other than my great grandmother's grapefruit spoons where I learned to love eating grapefruit this way as a child! Sometime soon I will think about ordering some of their other silverware products as I am very pleased with the design, finish, and feel of this set! Oh and bonus.. I actually had 7 spoons in my set! Lucky me!! I gave one to a coworker and we are grapefruit eating fools!!!

Nice for using on grapefruit and kiwi. Can easily carve out the fruit! Highly recommended if you like eating grapefruit.

First of all, six of these spoons for $8 is a deal. The steel is very stiff, so it will work for scraping out grapefruit or melons without bending the spoons. Mission accomplished. The shiny finish looks high quality.But the handles are quite narrow and thin, which makes applying force with them less than satisfying. The picture deceptively shows handles to be thicker than they are.Do most people really want 6 grapefruit spoons? I would prefer to get 2 of them for same price that are more substantial. I didn't find anything that looked heavier on Amazon, so I took a chance with this set. They'll do. Others may find the somewhat slender but sturdy stainless steal handles perfect for their hands.p.s. I also find the spoons excellent for eating yogurt cups and such. The serrated edge is not a bother, the narrow-shaped spoon is perfect for digging into a small container.

I had been looking for grapefruit spoons for some time and came across these. I love them. They pretty much match my Reed & Barton Dalton flatware and that made me very happy.The spoons arrived packaged very well, similar to the way my Reed & Barton set was packaged. They're a good weight and I know they will last. They've already been through numerous washings and have done well.The edges are not especially sharp but that is not an issue because we always cut our grapefruit into segments before serving it. I'm very pleased with this purchase even after a year.I'm going to pick up some round soup spoons in the same pattern because boullion spoons are not available in the Dalton pattern and I know Artaste Rain will match well enough.
