Diary came without a key for the lock.Now the gift will be useless unless I replace the lock . Today is her birthday.

Really nice presentation, everything seems to work well with it. Pages are nice and daughter can write easily. The lock and key do work but we do not use it because my 5 year old cannot open and close without my help.

My five yr old daughter loves her journal and "writes" in it almost every night. The lock and keys work well and the journal is pretty. The only flaw is that it says secret diary on the outside, which in my opinion negates the notion of it being secret, lol. My daughter doesn't care about that though and is happy with it, so I would recommend this product.
