19 Gauge Cotton Covered Millinery Wire Standard Firm White - Single Yard

I wanted this to try to see will it give structure to the hat I made and it worked wonderful!! I even ordered more.

I like to use this for crochet hats with a brim and small craft projects.

I ordered this to sew just under the brim of a faux straw, Fedora hat I'd bought at Target. The hat was crisp and jaunty looking when I purchased it, but after a few wearings in Florida heat (and a brief shower), the brim was sagging. In fact, it was sad and rather floppy.For the low price when I bought it, I couldn't complain. I'd worn it enough to consider it a good value, but sorry to send it to a thrift shop. It's not often I find an inexpensive hat that's a perfect fit, in a style I like enough to wear often.This millinery wire is exactly what it needed. While one yard was a few inches short of making the entire loop around the brim, it was close enough. (A slight sag at the back of the hat seems to work nicely.)The stiffness of the wire is Goldilocks perfect (meaning: just right). The wrap on it is high quality, even, and tight. And it's a nice narrow gauge so - sewn in place, by hand - it's barely noticeable beneath the brim.This saved a hat I'd absolutely loved when it was new, and now it looks more stylish than ever. I'm thrilled, because - for as long as we're living in Florida - it's a hat I'll wear often, rain or shine.

I use these for the brim of the crocheted summer hats I make.Sturdy and looks great

Product works great and as advertised. We camp a lot and we got many cooments on how visible our dog was. We got color Red
