I feared for this item when it arrived in a thin plastic bag, with not even a sheet of bubble wrap for protection. The dented corner showed that the journey to my house had not been a kind one and I very much anticipated a crack forming as I gingerly pushed the jug back into shape. However, to my surprise it simply 'popped' back and held firm - testament to its general toughness.In use, it functions well - easily holding enough water for a couple of people camping for 1-2 nights but without being too awkward to carry or move around. The tap pours reliably, provided the large filling cap is loosened slightly, but, with everything tightened fully, there are no leaks. Cleaning/drying after use is also easy thanks to the large filling cap which is easily big enough to get a hand into all corners of the container.Generally, a useful bit of kit for car camping etc.

I go into forests to work on car rallys and I used to use 2 5ltr thin bottles that were bought from a supermarket, until one split. I saw this and got one. It has fallen out of the car onto forest tracks while full and it never got a scratch. It is strong, easy to fill from tap or river and the twist tap works perfectly, shutting off with no annoying drips to wet the carpets.I hold all my equipment with cargo straps and the water is held by the strap so itis easy to get at when I get onto post in the rally stage. This us great for all uses.

The tap is poor quality and let's the product down, lots of leaking and over turning.

Bought this container as I needed something to replace a plastic collapsible container, which was useless! This container is ideal, stores sufficient water while away in my Van, great sized filler neck makes for simple cleaning. Sturdy enough to stand on, as a step for access, (if needed) when it’s full of water. Fast delivery and as described by the seller, I would recommend this to others.

Unfortunately as soon as I received this product it had a leaky tap. As I needed to use it I used a load of sealant to fix that. Now the lid has broken. It seems from screwing it on the top part of the lid has broken on the round bend. Shocking really.The design is great and practical but my experience of buying a slightly more expensive water container hasn't paid off due to quality. I would personally look elsewhere

My husband spends nearly all week in his Volvo truck and so needed a supply of fresh drinking water for brews, washing up after eating, cold drinks and washing himself.This container is absolutely ideal for holding a week's supply of fresh water.It's extreamly robust, doesn't give your water that "tainted" taste that some plastics are prone to, and very easy to fill and use.It gets stored in his outside side locker and because of the design on the base, doesn't move around when he's driving.It also holds more than it's supposed to - around 8¼ litres and there's still space left for more at the top.The pull down valve is easy to use (just don't forget to take the top off when using or the vacuum will stop it from working).My hubby is over the moon with it and wishes he has bought one years ago.For such a great, solid piece of kit the price is really good value for money.

I’ve waited 6 months to review this to be sure it’s a practical product with no leaks . Easy to clean with wide lid to scrub inside , drip proof tap , easy to carry . Top Lid needs to be unscrewed slightly to give perfect water flow from tap . Best water container for my needs .

This is an O.K product but it is the wrong shape for what I needed.Think how you are going to use it.I needed one that was tall with the filler cap at the top and tap at the bottom. Not sideways like this one.Benefit for my use if stands upright:Takes up less floor space.Hold more water.Deeper so better for a filter or syphon.Know how you want to use it before purchasing it.
