Carousel Animals Coloring Book (Dover Coloring Books)

Bought it, loved colouring it, and would do it again. Cheerful, and informative, if like me you've always loved carousels, go for it. It tells you about American carousel history.

Nice pics. I look forward to colouring in with bright colours and metallic pens. Shame that the pages are so thin and two sided, so felt tip pens absolute no-no.

great pictures to color!

Beautiful book with an animal to color per page. Like the examples of colored animals included inside front and back cover. There are comments at the bottom of each page which are interesting and because of page placement they do not distract from the picture. You could cut the comments off if you wanted to hang your picture. Paper is durable enough for normal pressure with a colored pencil without bleeding through. I did not try markers or watercolors, so I can't advise there. Some pictures are more detailed than others with smaller areas to color, but definitely not as hard to color as many of the other adult coloring books. Arrived as expected and price was ok. (16 horses, the rest are other animals) Coloring is a great relaxing activity for anyone...not just those with artistic abilities. Book and colored pencils take little room to add to your luggage or stash in your desk at work for break time! Great for taking the stress out of your day!

Il y a beaucoup de chevaux mais tous sont différents, avec une petite description à chaque fois en dessous pour nous en apprendre plus. Il y a également des tigres, lions, animaux exotiques voir fantaisistes. Les dessins sont très beaux et travaillés, et suffisament grand pour ne pas s'arracher les cheveux sur les petites zones. Quelques exemples de coloriages sont proposés aussi cela peut donner des idées.

Ich bin begeistert von den tollen Zeichnungen. Etwa die Hälfte des Buches befasst sich mit dem klassischen Karussellpferd, Für mich als Pferdefan natürlich ganz toll. Es gibt verschiedenste "Modelle" - mit Federn als Indianerpony, mit Rüstung wie im Mittelalter oder romantisch mit Schleifen. Auch zwei schöne Kopfstudien sind dabei. Die zweite Hälfte zeigt andere Tiere wie Frosch, Katze, Kamel, Giraffe und Tiger. Daneben gibt es noch drei Fantasymodelle mit Drachen und "Seepferden". Alle sind wunderschön und detailreich gezeichnet, aber nie so extrem überladen, dass man sie nicht mehr ausmalen könnte. Die Blätter sind beidseitig bedruckt, was mich persönlich nicht stört. Alles in allem, ein Kauf der sich gelohnt hat, schon das Blättern durch die Vorlagen macht Spass.

Nice book of good quality, as you would expect from Dover. They make great coloring books and this one is no different. If you enjoy carousels you will probably enjoy this book as much as I do. Definitely worth the money~
