Gentle on the skin, great blender. Only challenge is completely washing out any heavier foundation. Wears the sponge out quicker, but my last one lasted months. Recommend!

I needed to replace one I got about 20 years ago. This is basically the same. However, the black plastic holder for it smells awful and makes the sponge smell bad too. I've tried keeping the holder open and the sponge out on the cabinet to diffuse the odor but it hasn't worked so far after about a month. I can't use my old white holder as it has worn out. That is one of the main reasons I picked this particular one out of several just like it on Amazon. It came with a holder. But the price was good and I needed a new sponge. These sponges are great for smoothing out my mineral powder and powder blush.

Not quite as good as Jane Iredale’s flocked sponge. Does the job okay—but. It great.

I love these flocked sponges. I use them with my liquid makeup and it gives an airbrushed looked. You don't have to use as much product either.Update: Nov. 2015-the last batch of these came apart on my face. I've been using them for years without a problem. The flocking came off and was left behind on my face and looked like rolled up dead skin everywhere. I tried 3 different ones and they all did it. In hoping it was just a bad batch.

I like the way it applies my liquid foundation. It's real smooth and not cakey. But, the flocking started to come off after about 4 uses and only 1 washing. It doesn't seem worth the price for it to fall apart so quickly.

I've used these make-up sponges for the past few years with my compact powder. It's sooooo much better than the flimsy sponge that comes with compacts because it's thicker, and it's better than normal sponges because it is soft and velvety on the outside. It doesn't cake on too much make-up, and it can help to wipe off excess off your face. I guess that's what they mean by "finishing sponge"??? Either which way, love it!

This sponge is a must have!! It comes inside a black, plastic "glo mineral" sponge holder. That's probably my favorite part about the purchase is the carrier. I don't have to worry about the sponge getting dirty while in my purse with my other belongings, because the case keeps my sponge germ free, clean and fresh.

I really like this soft sponge and use it to apply mineral foundation. Great tool and very similar to the Jane Iredale sponge with a slightly better price:)!
