7th Heaven (Women's Murder Club)

I'm done with this series
I enjoyed the first few books but started to get frustrated by the amount of time spent in court and on trials/testimony. It seems to be a bigger and bigger factor in each book. The stories themselves have become disjointed. Finally, and I know this is a small point and a personal annoyance, but a boyfriend that calls his girlfriend "Blondie" gets tiresome very quickly. It's so tacky and impersonal. I've made it this far (mostly because I accidentally purchased book 7 when I was still on book 2) but I'm moving on from these stories.

another page turner
7th Heaven is another delightful who done it in this marvelous series. For anyone who desperately wants to get away but can't, I recommend the Women's mystery Club. The women are. Brave ,charming , and convincing. The friendship of this diverse group charming. And the murderers, and police officers well depicted . Yes,The villains are so terrible, burning their victims or chopping them up. Yet it all works out with surprising twists and turns. I cheered for the good guys throughout the novel. Hated when the book came to an end.

James Patterson does it Again!
Once again, I'm completely impressed. Just like all the previous "Women's Murder Club Books" 7th Heaven was a true page turner. With multiple plot twists and climaxes it kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish and in true Patterson style just when I thought I had the whole mystery solved, in the very last pages it all comes to light. All in all a great read and a great addition to the series. James, you never fail to entertain, entrance and amaze.

Arson and Junie Moon
One case has two college boys , Pidge and Hawk robbing rich people and setting their homes on fire. The other case in this book has to do with a prostitute named Junie Moon and one of her clients being a rich kid named Michael Campion, who is reported missing. Joe is now living in San Francisco. He proposed to Lindsay but she hasn't said yes yet. Claire has a baby girl named Ruby Rose.I love these books and I read them fast. The chapters are short, not to mention the surprising twists that you don't see coming.

About the same as others
This series is all okay but not worth $7.99 per book. 7th Heaven was a bit gory and as usual Lindsay is the main character but Yuki is more prominent in it. Chapters are typically very short and too much is done in italics. I'll read more if the price ever comes down. I will say the ending was a satisfying surprise.

Strong female lead!
I really enjoy this series! Strong female leads overall but I also feel like it's a very make perspective on what that should be. I wish the women were more confident instead of always calling back to rely on the men and relationships. With all that said I love seeing strong women getting things done!

Draw dropping
This book kept you reading within a midline speed. It draws you into the plot, without drowning your senses. Chapters make one rethink and analyze direction writer had chosen. I feel this book is equally spaced and transition is smooth without long pauses. Very enjoyable read.

I want to read more
Some people are saying that this book is a waste of money. I dont agree. Look, Patterson is a mystery writer, who, in my opinion has revolutionized the mystery and suspense genres. But at the same time, he writes a very formulaic story. I dont fault him for that. I dont pick up a James Patterson novel and expect to read The Tale of Two Cities or that level of ficiton. That being said, Patterson is a very good writer. However, my one critique would be that I can tell more than one person wrote this book because the voice does seem to change here and there. Who is in heaven and who is in hell?
Another brilliant work. There is a killer maybe killers on the loose who are targeting the rich. Grizzly killings where the victims are consumed by fire. The killings seem to have a Latin connection. This becomes personal for Conklin when the parents of a previous girl friend become victims. Senseless and cruel and stomach churning as they are Lindsay and Richie set out with their usual dogged determinedness to catch the killer / killers. Conklin's spidey senses lead him to believe the fire chief is setting the fires and finds himself at odds with Lindsay for the first time, she knows the guy he is accusing well and could never contemplate he could do such a thing.a senator's much loved son? goes missing and A young prostitute finds herself on trial for his murder after she volunteers a confession when evidence leads the Rottweiler cops to her door. How could she be so cold and detached. Yuki in her new role as prosecutor not only has to contend with someone who looks as criminal as snow white, a lack of hard evidence, a red hot defender she has to deal with a stalker who puts her life in danger.Claire becomes a mamma again which brings much relief to the stresses and strains that surround the group of four. Lindsay remains confused about her feelings for the two men in her life and Joe sensing she is slipping away calls her out on it. She finally moves in with Joe but not for the reasons you'd think. As per his usual genius Patterson throws in a few red herrings adds a few twists and turns and leaves you reeling from the revelations and dizzy with excitement.

most enjoyable
I have really liked the Women's Murder Club series, but after the first one, they were almost unreadable. Crazy amounts of sex and bad language, they just weren't for me. The stories were always entertaining but I just hated those other parts. This is by far the best in the series. Hardly any cussing (although there is some) and sex (ditto), it's much more tame than the others. The story was intriguing and tense, made even more so by the fact that I was in San Francisco while I read about a killer loose in San Francisco. I was bummed that she didn't resolve whether or not she was going to marry Joe. I like her partner, but Joe is the man for her and I will be devastated if she breaks up with him. He gave up his job with Homeland Security to move to San Francisco and be with her, and he is soooo great. My hope for the next one is that she'll marry Joe and keep solving crimes!
