Good stuff once again. Thanks, One Day Music, for all these classic releases.
Fontana was another niche music label with some fine artists during its tenure. Was a sub-label of Smash. Some great songs here. Worth the money, for sure.

Love This Set Very Much...
These tracks are all UK Fontana-issued singles from 1958 to 1962. They are all taken from either vinyl 45rpms, or 33.3 albums, or by the sound of one or two of them, 78rpm shellacs. Given the age of the vinyl, remastering really worn records like many are on this set leave a lot to be desired. The interest though outweighs the remastering. These singles, in whatever form, come from an era where many British labels licenced American recordings for issue of which many can be found here, including one or two from the very early 1950s. A kindly soul has posted up a full listing elsewhere in the reviews and is well worth studying. As a UK singles collector of chart hits from 1952 to 1980 (my core collecting years), this cd set is really worth the small investment of money required to purchase it. I like most of them having never the vast majority of them before but the ones I list below are exceptional...1.Barry Cryer (The comedian!) - The Purple People Eater was a flop here but a Number 1 in Finland!2.Aretha Frankilin - Rock A Bye Your Baby With A Dixie Melody.3.Frank Sinatra - I Could Write A Book & If I Forget You.There are also a few early Motown tracks here as well! So you pay a little, and you get a lot. 75 tracks of finest Fontana!

INTERESTING MIX-GIVE IT A GO!
AS WITH THE REST OF THE CDs IN THIS SERIES,THIS COLLECTION REPRESENTS GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY AND IS WELL WORTH IT!I THINK I'VE FOUND ONE ERROR IN THE TRACK LISTING-DISC 3 TRACK 5 IS CREDITED TO LEO DIAMOND AND THE CHEROKEES,I THINK THAT SHOULD ACTUALLY BE LEE DIAMOND AND THE CHEROKEES (WE DIDN'T HAVE LEOs IN THOSE DAYS-MUCH TOO POSH!!!!!)

The item is brilliant and I and enjoying the CD immensely. Great item. In future I am not prepared to write an essay, what is wrong with "A brilliant CD. Thank you"?
