Cute but a little different.

This is a great movie! I loved it! The music alone was positively magical. Loved the raven. Overall wonderful story!

Very cute film for both kids and adults.

A fun PG story about a novice witch coming of age. I believe its dubbed from Europe. The young wanna-be witch is ordered to learn all of the spells in the big witch book in a year in order to become a master witch. She's very nice and friendly compared to the older wicked hags (older witches). She learns the spells with mad-cap mishaps and her animal familiar (bird) by her side. She helps all the young. poor and others in need in her town to the dismay of her watchful witchy Aunt. I only wish it ended with all the older witches deciding to change and become helpful healers, herbalists or midwives like real witches. It was worth renting.

It's so much fun to give a 5 star review. For me that means everything was very good. You'll notice that it's a voice-over, but that didn't interfere with my enjoyment - don't dwell on it, let the story be told. Beautiful cinematography, wonderful musical score, an endearing story, a charming lead character, and terrific acting. Bravo! Highly recommended.
