Milling Operations in the Lathe

Good operation manual

It's a old book and a lot of the information is out of date, but it still is very useful for figuring our how to hold parts in a lathe's milling vise.

Great book with a lot of information.

It filled some of the holes in ways I can use the lathe as a mill to accomplish the tasks better, such as grinding a chamber reamer, after turning the OD on it, and using the headstock as an indexing head. finishing the parts or tooling is easier than how I have been doing it prior to using the information and tables in in the book. I recommend this book to both rookies and tradesman both to fill voids or refresh yourself in areas that one doesn't use often.

Informative and helpful.

Very informative

While the lathe was not designed for milling this book shows the lathe user how to carry out many basic operations that might otherwise be difficult with hand-tools. I tried to mill a flat on the side of a cylinder (with moderate success). Had I read this book first I would have accomplished the same but with more confidence and, probably, better results.If you are new to model engineering, or more experienced but cannot afford to buy a milling machine, I would definitely recommend this book.

I follow this guy on youtube and he's an unlimited source of information for beginners and experts alikethis book reflects this well worth buying.

the book is good, just what I wanted, information on this subject especially being a newby to this subject/operation with the lathe.
