Anna Wolfrom Dove and The Wigwam Tea Room: The Remarkable Single Woman Homesteader and the History of Her Legendary Tea Room in the Rocky Mountains Paperback – June 25, 2019

Excellent read for everyone who lives or ever visited Estes Park. To see the RMNP funded enough to not only maintain the Wigwam Tea Room, but to staff it in First Person Interpretive would be awesome beyond belief. Perhaps a large voluntary contingency could pull it off at least during the peak visitor season.

My family owned the Wigwam property for many years. We knew a lot about Anna Wolfrom, or at least we thought we did. This book is so well researched and tells such a complete picture - it describes aspects we were curious about but never even knew how to research. It really brought Anna Wolfrom to life. I highly recommend the book, and encourage you to visit the property where she lived which is now part of Rocky Mountain National Park. Thank you Nina for the thorough and fun read.

So many memories of trail rides down the Wind River gulch over the many years I vacationed at Wind River Ranch and I had no idea of this bit of magical history. It's a great read, lots of wonderful details, beautifully researched, and the narrative is well written. Nina has done a terrific job of telling the story. Highly recommend.

Nina did such a great job on this book!!! I know she researched so much, and it was a passion of hers to write this book and tell everyone about this incredible pioneering lady, Anna Wolfrom Dove! The book is well written and the historical pictures are a great addition so you can see what life was like back then it that area and time. I highly recommend this fascinating book to anyone!!

While I really liked and appreciated this accounting of a very strong woman pioneer in Estes Park, the style of writing was a bit scattered. That being said most members of our hiking group enjoyed the book and it gave us ideas for future hikes in the Estes Park area.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was fascinating and engaging. Nina Jones Kunze is an excellent writer and the book was very well researched. I loved learning about Anna Wolfrom Dove and the others who pioneered the development of Estes Park, a beautiful mountain community. Growing up nearby, often visiting Estes Park but never knowing the rich history, I was so inspired reading about their lives. Thank you Nina Jones Kunze for telling this story.

Loved the story of Anna Wolfrom Dove and her Wigwam Tea Room. So remarkable that this independent, entrepreneur accomplished all she did at the time that she did. She lead a fascinating life and the author describes it well. Also loved the historical pictures. Can’t wait to go see what’s left of the tea room myself!
