Sharp metal
The metal on the connect to the plastic feet are sharp. These pieces damaged my wood desk and table very badly. Although the unit did function as a book stand it is unusable with the sharp metal connections.

Needs two more legs
This folding reading stand makes more sense if it had two more legs to hold it in place. You can't use it to write anything on a notebook or a wordsearch book because it falls over. It literally is just for reading, which makes it useless for even just writing a note on a page your reading; it needs two more legs to balance it properly. I bought it for my mom that has dementia and all she does is her wordsearch and journal, unfortunately it was a waste of money for our purposes.

Well made and convenient
This stand is really nice and makes reading a pleasure. My only advice is to be extremely careful at first with the plastic arms that hold the pages in place. At first they would not budge, so I sprayed a little WD-40 on them and gently wiggled until they began to move slightly. I kept wiggling them until finally they loosened up and now they work great. If you try to open them immediately and apply a lot of force, they will break. Overall this is a great book stand.

Not sturdy enough for larger books
I purchased this for my brother who is in a nursing home. He said it was not sturdy- it would not hold his hardback book which was a bit large-he said it collapsed so he threw it away

Made for kids or skinny people
Not wide enough. Won’t work for anyone over a 36 waist. Not tall enoug. Still requires bending your neck a lot.

Great price.
Lessens strain on my neck when I proofread.

light weight and sturdiness.
I didn't like the height of the side posts. They need to be adjustable, so the book tray can be elevated or lowered to a comfortable reading position. The lack of the adjustable feature was very disappointing.
