Perfect DIY replacement on 2013 ES350
If you are reading this then you are having problems with your driver door lock actuator. Problems locking/unlocking and the annoyance of having to use the key instead of the touch fob. Based on documentation on the internet, Toyota/Lexus have notorious issues with these going bad. My 2013 ES350 is no different. I had one front driver door go bad under warranty and dealer fixed it for free ($700 service). Then 2 years later it went bad again along with the passenger front and one of the rear doors. I was quoted $700 per door for the dealer to fix each of these. As other reviews have mentioned, the AISIN part is identical to the factory actuator. At a fraction of the price through the dealer and with some great YouTube videos out there, this is a no brainer purchase. The install is an easy installation requiring a bit of patience and finesse but anyone can accomplish. Once you take the 30-60 minutes to complete you will never consider taking this type of repair to the dealer if it ever happens again. There are cheaper actuators out there that may be sufficient with some mentioning they aren’t 100% to spec as AISIN. In my opinion, if you spent $20-40k on your Lexus, it’s worth paying the AISIN price and ultimately saving $580 vs taking it to the dealer. Everything works as it did when the car was brand new. You won’t regret it.UPDATE: after having all 4 door locks go bad and more research on the web, it appears the faulty issue with these actuators is a $8 motor. After replacing the whole actuator unit on the front driver door, I bought 3 motors and replaced them in the other three actuator units. Saved even more. Check out YouTube and buy this instead: “ 10mm Flat Shaft Central Door Lock Actuator Motor FC-280PC-22125 FLAT SHAFT, D Spindle, Power Locking Repair Engine”

Driver door actuator into a 4Runner
I bought the Aisin DLT-010 Door Lock Actuator from Amazon Prime for $132.95 + tax after reviewing several sellers/prices. This item description claims it meets Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and regulations. I also learned that Aisin was "OEM" for Toyota. The actuator was well packaged and there were no instructions in the box.I viewed several Toyota 4Runner actuator installation videos on You _ _ _ _ before I started the installation. I needed a T30 torx bit, a phillips screwdriver, 10mm socket, and plastic pry tools for the installation. To install the actuator body to the drivers door, I had trouble dropping the vertical round shaft into the actuator hole while at the same time making the door lock horizontal shaft fit into the actuator upper star shaped crevice. I found another video that mentioned removal of the black plastic cover in the door near the exterior door handle. With the cover removed (see picture), take a T30 bit and unscrew the captive screw and this will release the key lock cylinder (with shaft) on the outside of the door. I put some masking tape on the shaft so it would not droop and then placed the key lock assembly back into the exterior lock location. This allow the lock shaft to successfully engage the star shaped crevice on the actuator body. You won't have the key door lock problem on the other 3 passenger doors as they don't have a key lock.I was satisfied with my installation and saved a significant amount of money by DIY.My research also reveled that the driver door actuator failure is a common problem.

Perfect replacement for driver's door 2014 Lexus ES!
The Lexus dealership wanted $351 for this same item, and around $500 with installation. Since the car is no longer under factory warranty, I watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to replace it, and decided to try it myself. I found this actuator on Amazon that claimed to be an exact replacement for the car, so I went ahead and ordered it. When it arrived I set it next to the factory unit I removed, and it was the same manufacturer and physically identical. It installed with no modifications needed, and functioned perfectly. If I have another one of these goes bad I will definitely order again!

Worth the extra money!
Sooo, I thought I would save some money and buy the cheaper version of this. What a mistake! It did not line up correctly but I got it in only to have it not work properly in my Lexus es350.After reading the reviews on this one, I rolled the dice. Perfect fit and as good as the OEM.Spend the extra money and buy this one.

Oem Name part at a fraction of the cost from the dealer.
I have bought a couple of these for my 2012 Camry and they both work fine. I just installed this one, and the other one I installed about a year ago and they both work fine. The install is pretty easy with a few tools. If you are thinking about installing these yourself, try it because its not that bad and it will save you a lot of money.

2009 Highlander
This fixed several weird door locking/unlocking issues we were having on our car. Part is exactly the same as an OEM "brand" part (Aisin). Old part picture with cables still attached, and new prior to installation. There are you-tube videos showing "how to" replace this part Be VERY careful with the trim strip on the inner door handle that covers two of the three door attachment screws. Mine shattered into several pieces when removing, in spite of my being careful.

Lexus GS 2016
Direct OEM replacement matched the broken lock (also made by Aisin) perfectly.Replacement is a little fiddly but doable... You will need proper trim removal tools to get the door apart.

Truly OEM quality
This actuator (specifically AISIN products) are truly OEM quality. I've been repairing all makes of cars for over thirty years and AISIN parts never disappoint. Quite often they are better than the original factory parts and should never be considered as "aftermarket" as the their ad honestly states. Not only would I recommend this product but I would urge anyone serious about a quality repair to look for AISIN parts whenever or wherever they are available.
