Is what it says it is,just not exactly what I had hoped for.
The projects were so traditional, i.e. a hatbox, collar box, footballs, suitcase, mandolin and tennis racket cases, just not what I had hoped for, : moccasins, wallets, shoes, etc. It has some good information about cutting up a hide and different leathers and their qualities though. Also some information about tools and how to use them.

A good book.
This book does not cover the basics. It does cover the different types of leather and their normal cutting use. Some good projects; Garters/straps, Dog lead, Wrist strap, Letter case, Writing pad, Brush/Hat/etc case, luggage, music case and a few others. I found it a good instruction book for making other items. It's inception was in the early 1900's and as such will not be as modern as other books. For olden style or 30s-40s this would probably be the one for you.
