French Country Wall Calendar 2014 Calendar – Wall Calendar, July 1, 2013

I'm a long-time fan of the French Country Diary and I have been looking forward to seeing the new French Country Wall Calendar. I can finally decorate my kitchen with these beautiful French Country photographs. The calendar and it's 12 gorgeous pictures is everything I'd hoped it would be. It's almost like light emanates from each one. I especially love the garden shots- the one with the giant sunflowers, another with topiaries shaped like chess pieces, and the farmhouse garden with the alert little cat.

Pretty pictures, but the calendar doesn't give the names of the days and months in French as other French-themed calendars do beneath the English. Also, it would have been nice to include the moon phases, another feature of many calendars.

I bought this calendar for my mom and she loved it. The picture of the French countryside give a relaxing atmosphere and the traditional design fits well with any mom's home. My mother particularly loves to have defined squares with the days so she can make annotations. This calendar is perfect for that, you can write notes in the squares to remember appointments and important events to come.

I just realized you sent a 2013 calendar instead 2014. I was filling it out with dates and names before I realized this. What a disapointment!

Every year I order the French Country Diary calendar and I have always loved its beautiful photographs. So naturally I ordered the wall calendar this year when I spotted it. I'm sorry to say I was really disappointed in the choices of photographs for the WALL calendar. July has a picture of a bird sitting on top of the roof of an old building. February centers on the red embroidered fabric on two white chairs. Nice fabric but I don't want to look at it for an entire month! These photographs are fine for the diary calendar which uses numerous photos scattered throughout. For a wall calendar with only twelve photos featured, however, each and every photo needs to be GORGEOUS. The September - December photos are great. The calendar's designer should use these four photos as a guide and make better choices next time for every month.

My first French Country Wall Calendar arrive on a dark, cold day here in northern Vermont, and it immediately lit up the room. The photos are vibrant, some showing beautiful interior decor while others capture some of those unexpected moments you come upon while traveling in France, like the romantic light of sunset over Saint-Paul-de-Vence, or a fishing port on the Riviera with houses painted in the colors of a Matisse.

Lovely photos, plus large date spaces for writing. Very simplistic; it blended well with my kitchen.

I was hoping the inside of the calendar had more toile and this style of French décor but it did not. It's not bad but not what I thought it would be.
