Blown Away with All the Amazing, Magical Detail
I've always loved Lois Lowry's books and this book like all the others, did not disappoint me. Lowry really brought this story to life. This story was simple but Lowry wrote it to become alive and magical. She describes everything with such grace and amazing penmanship I can imagine the story in detail like a movie in my mind! Though some parts in this story I'm a little skeptical about for example *SPOILER ALERT* when the main character talks to and accepts and invitation from an old man who is a total stranger to her at the time and when a young teenager is allowed to watch a birth of a baby. But besides that I think this book is nonetheless special and teaches good lessons. It really dives into dealing with tough situations and teaches about accepting others. This book I think is great for people who love to imagine and love to experience a whole another type of story.

Completely satisfied
I read this book when I was 12 or 13 and it has stayed in my mind. I am 50 years old now. I wanted to read it again as an adult. I received it quickly and in excellent condition. 👍

Memories.
This was my favorite book as a child. What is really strange is that I have a friend with the same disease as the sister in the book. I was so excited to find this hard cover!

A beautiful story about the experience of true love

Sweet and Beautiful
I was able to read this the day after Typhoon Dolphin passed by Guam, and we were without electricity. In the stillness around me, I think I was able to get more out of this than I first expected. You read it, thinking you know what you'll get from it. But sometimes...in those quiet hours when the world around you has been tested and tried, and forced to shut down...there comes a perfectly aligned moment when the morals of the story reveal themselves with what is going on around you. And you pause to take it all in.Beautiful story.

Good is remembered by a Sibling
Related to what happens in life. Good & bad. Life continues with memories after death. Lives on thru others. Lives changed. We look back with positive & laughter thru each chapter & character. Exposure to new things done with old. Old & young friendship grew no matter age

bello!

A Poignant Tale of Loss
This was successful children and young adult's writer Lois Lowry's first book. It is a poignant story about a young girl facing the loss of her older sister.
