How many pillow cases are in an order?

This is for Fishers Finery 30 mm 100% mulberry silk — not other brands.  There is one in an order unless it states a set.  Twin pillow cases are always typically one as with any material.  I bought twin, had one.  The price has gone up from April 2021 from $55 to $66 but at almost 70, and having had silk clothing and bedding, I do not regret a penny of it.  This is the best most luxurious silk pillowcase ever. I daily say “I love this pillow case. Between it and my Avocado Suvin cotton 600 TC sheets (true tc not faked numbers where they double count) - and my avocado green mattress — sleeping is heaven.  I thought I was nuts buying those sheets at $249 for twin set but again never regret. Again something you have to wash with gentle no harsh chemical detergents, no bleach, no sanitizer, no softener, cool to warm silk/delicate wash, cool dry or hang dry. Don’t wash with rough things like zippers, hooks. I wash with other delicate things. The extra steps are well worth it. When I can afford it will buy another set for double bed.  The feeling of sliding your legs across these sheets and my face and hair against the pillow case is heavenly.

On the pillow case — Do not go less than 30 mm pure 100% mulberry on both sides. I won’t buy anything less than Fishers Finery.

I got both a 25 mm and a 30 mm items and will choose 30 mm for my next one. It is not worth the small price difference to go cheap on the 30mm vs 25 mm,  and you want 100% mulberry, 6A grade long strand silk. Companies who say oh you don’t want 30, too thick and no envelope closure because your pillow case slides out — they say that because they don’t sell 30 mm (probably not a high enough profit margin for them).  You want Good housekeeping tested and warranted for 2 years plus the green sourcing is what you want. Save your pennies to buy the best.  Also as with all silk over the years - I hand wash in just barely warm and rinse in cool.  I use a silk wash, or plain baby shampoo (no colors, fragrances, etc) . After gently rinsing, I use a small pea of a no sulfate gentle style, no fragrance, etc  hair conditioner in cool water and swish through. Let sit for 5 minutes, quickly rinse and then press the water out. And then using a big thick white towels gently lay it out smoothing the wrinkles and roll it up in the towel. Let sit for 10-15 minutes and transfer to another same type towel for 10-15 minutes.  Then I put a dry towel over the shower bar and gently lay the case over the towel and let dry. It dries quickly.  Note: Never, ever wring or twist silk. It is highly durable and strong when dry but the threads can be broken, busted whatever when wet.  And it can pull and it can’t be fixed.  I also have used Orvis wash that’s used for many things including horse and dog shampoo, vintage wedding gowns, quilts - it’s non anomic (sp.?). Also have used Cowboy Magic, rosewater horse shampoo once or twice and worked fine. Horses and dog coats are much more delicate and sensitive than ours. In fact I have used the Cowboy magic rosewater shampoo on my hair for decades.just started turning grey at almost 70. I love how it cleans without stripping.  I believe I would stay with specialty silk shampoo from whoever you buy the cases but in a pinch wanted to give you an option if you have these on hand.

Something  else — I find silk never smells and it seems to self clean itself.  I wash it about every 2 weeks.  I have gotten ink marks on it and when I went to wash it I went to call the company as to what would be best to use  on the silk. Can’t find the ink marks - no where to be found. This has happened several times. My hair isn’t frizzy in the mornings anymore, and my skin feels better. It doesn’t happen overnight - give it a couple of months but you will just realize it one morning.

Same as above. 30 mm, 6A long strand, 100% mulberry silk is the finest you can buy. I have these and have never regretted a penny. Plan on buying 2 more for my double bed. See my other comment on them under one of the other questions. At almost 70 and on fixed budget these are heaven. Save your pennies and buy the best  and wash and handle properly. It is worth every minute of time.

Also most sheets the thread count isn’t the actual tc..it’s reported fake to make it sound better. Make sure when buying sheets etc — and it says 600 or 1000 tc — make sure that is not a fake number and it’s really a true 600 etc.  high quality sheets will get softer, more luxurious and silkier against your skin as they are washed.  I like the suvin cotton from Avocado mattress company. They are pricey but again worth every penny. I regularly say to friends — my gosh I love these sheets and my silk pillow case.
