Perfect for family movie night!
I had very low expectations for this projector, but I was curious about it and figured the kids would appreciate it if I totally hated it. I did NOT expect super quality or flawless operation or great sound. I just expected it to shine a picture from my old dvd player onto a wall and be able to pretty much not go crosseyed or get a headache from watching. DONE and DONE! This thing is pretty sweet for being so inexpensive. I don't consider it to be "cheap." It's pretty decently built, and really simple to opereate. It took about 2 minutes of messing with the "contrast" and "color" buttons to get a pretty dialed in picture. I first tried it out with a snowboard movie, and that was pretty disappointing, as most of the movie is a giant white background. Duh. Well, then I put in Toy Story 3. I was pretty surprised! It doesn't look like a movie theater, but you get the fun and you can see pretty alright detail. It is NOT sharp as a tack, and it is NOT blurry. It is very watchable, and you won't get a headache or anything. I would consider this to be well worth $70, as the novelty of it for kids and some kid adults like myself is just great. The sound is pretty loud actually, but i would consider hooking up your computer speakers or some other speaker source as sometimes when there is a bright image on the screen, it makes the speaker "buzz" for whatever reason. There is the red white and yellow inputs only, and one standard headphone jack output. The fan is loud but not excessivly loud. All in all, if you realize this is more of a novelty and not meant to produce theather quality images, you will LOVE it. It's perfect for family movie nights! Works best in a completely dark room obviously. FUN! Worth $70.

Definitely a great buy!
I bought this item on a whim a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier! Let me explain why it works so well for us and maybe not so much for others.I live on an acreage and have a large metal shed that is open on three sides with sliding doors opening on each end. I stapled a large sheet of white opaque drapery liner fabric sewn into a panel 11 feet by 9 feet onto a frame of 1X2s pieces of lumber, 10-12 feet long on the closed side of the building and set up the projector 15-20 feet from the screen - this makes the image fill the screen. The image quality is very similar to a tv screen from the 80s or the old drive in theater. The sound is plenty loud enough because the acoustics in a metal shed make for excellent amplification. What we basically created was an old drive in theater. This is a wonderful projector if you're outside or in a large outdoor building.Total cost for the homestyle drive in theater -$82 for the projector$35 for the drapery fabric (on sale at $3.50/yard)$20 for the lumber (although the fabric could be directly stapled to the wall I imagine)The box itself has a handle, so I store the projector along with a dvd player I had in a spare room that we never use. On a moments notice people can come over and have an outside movie night. Set up takes less than 5 minutes if you have a ready power supply.Completely worth the cost considering all the fun memories my family will have watching movies on warm nights.

Warning Do Not Buy This Product WARNING YOU BIG TIME
Projector Shift3 advertised as a new item, first the item is not new at all the one I got was used, refurbished, bad painted (you could even smell the bad quality of the paint), scratched ad It had a thumb print inside the lens and when I moved it sounded like something was loose inside, totally dont buy please do not lose your time you will return it just like I did, do not buy, you can review my profile I always buy here all of the items I need I am a pro buying things here and this is the very first time a seller is trying to play games with me here, totally that is not professional the item is not even worth 40 bucks the video quality is bad the focus is bad the only good thing about the item is the sound that is good other than that I tried to focus the image on the projector screen and it was pretty blurry no matter what I did thank you.

Got what I paid for.
Spent just a little over $70 on this. Spent most of my time worrying if it'd look fine playing, if it'd be too dark, or not enough sound. Item was receiven in great condition. Was easy to hook up to my PS3 to stream movies right onto my wall. Picture wasn't amazing, but it looked pretty well and the sound was loud enough too. I'll probably save up to buy a newer brand that can be brighter, but as for now this is totally fine and worth the buy. Even if the bulb burns out, I was given a manual on how to replace it, so I'm good :)

lets be honest here
I know some are wondering why in the world would someone give this 5 stars?!?! Well it like this....If you think you are going to order this and wind up with a $1500.00 projector you are going to be very disapointed! and I would suggest you see a shrink regarding your sence of reality! Now if your looking to buy this as an entry level gaming projector which is able to project Mario on the wall of a mostly dark room with enough clarity to tell the difference between Mario and Bowser BUY IT!!! It works perfect for this situation. The picture quality for a movie I personally think is no worse than any drive in movie I ever went to! Dont expect a 20 foot picture, but at 5 to 6 feet it does a remarkably good job. Bottom line if you are honest with yourself about what you are buying you will not disapointed. I have not had warranty issues so I cant speak to how the company is to deal with but at under $70.00 it would have to REALLY crappy for me to be to upset. I'm sticking buy my 5 stars because it does exactly what it is designed to do and it does it well! One recomendation, buy a set of computer speakers to plug in, The speaker is as good as you would expect but better sound is ..... well ..... required!!!
