This terrarium book "For Kids" is better than many other terrarium books that I have ever seen for adults. Better info, questions get answered better, just a better book all around. If you are starting to get into terrarium building, this is the book for you!

I love this author, and plan to make some terrariums with my little dude when he’s a bit older. In the mean time I have already confidently made 5 because of this book!

if you are a beginner to terrarium and want to give a shot to make one, this is a fun book to read and follow. Also, if you have children, you can learn together with them.

This is a well constructed book with a sturdy paperback cover, thick glossy pages and a strong binding. The type chosen is clear and sized to be easy to read. When placed over colored backgrounds the color is light enough it does not impact legibility.I expected this to be childish and simple, but to my surprise it is not. As an adult I was interested as well which surprised me as we are no strangers to terrariums.This book has everything you would need but the actual supplies. It explains different containers, how to set them up and how to care for them long term. There are several different types of terrariums and other things you can include (praying mantis, pill bugs, shrimp, etc). I will admit that many of the plants and critters they showed are not available locally and would require online purchases, but others (like moss and pull bugs) could be found for free.Having kept many of these plants and animals ourselves I can say that in general the care seems correct. I have not had any issues with pillbugs or millipedes in a terrarium. I do not like to keep praying mantis in a terrarium because it is really hard to keep them clean, but that is personal preference I suppose.Good book, interesting and informative.

I make terrariums as a hobby, and bought this book so I could introduce my kids to it too. I'm so glad I did -- the guides are great and well-written. Def would recommend!!!-@grownatureterrariums

Very informative and beautiful book , I love making terrariums and I found out about this book on social media while scrolling for ideas . Patricia Buzo did a great job putting this beautiful book together my kids (10 and 16 years old ) and I are having fun learning and creating beautiful terrariums at home .

For children and adults alike, this is a great book for anyone who wants to bring the outdoors ...INDOORS! Patricia's beautiful photos and easy reading makes for a great reference book, design inspiration, and conversation-starting coffee table book for all things terrarium. Along with the emphasis that a terrarium is a living, enclosed ecosystem, I really liked the fact that an index of suppliers is provided at the end, since looking for the things you need can be a daunting task. There's really something for everyone in this book - chic and sleek, and detailed mysterious landscape. I highly recommend it - in fact, this is the only terrarium book I've found that doesn't try to put succulents and phalaenopsis orchids in a humid terrarium.

I got a Terrarium kit and glass jar for my birthday so decided to buy this book as I hadn’t created one before. It is so good and breaks down all the areas you wish to know about into very concise, simple steps. Not to complicated and I read it all within an hour and then felt prepared to start my creation.Says it’s for kids but for me it’s just for beginners and the perfect book if you are just starting out.

This book was raved about by lots of terrarium makers, saying it’s good for adults too, so I bought it - however I had already done quite a bit of research about terrarium making beforehand, and unfortunately this book did not cover any more than I already knew! I think it’s a good book if you’re just introducing yourself to terrariums but not for novices (of which i have seen it recommended). I thought the layout (even for kids) could be a bit better when addressing terrarium plants and give us tips on how to look after each/what they need in tables & diagrams, however it’s mostly written in paragraphs. However I am happy to support Patricia, she makes great terrariums and has so much knowledge, so I hope she can create an in-depth book for adults!
