Ok its MDF. I never expected such a well packed, fully complete piece of furniture. They even included glue for the dowels. And not just a tiny packet, a bottle with more than enough to do the job right. The dowels were fluted to hold more glue. The predrilled holes were done perfectly and without any sloppy edges. The hardware didn't strip putting it together, it was solid and good quality. They even have a tag on the outside of the box with a string attatched that you pull to get the hardware out first.One of the major problems with flat pack is the shipping gorillas. This box has extra edge cardboard like a frame protecting every edge.As you can see, after about 2 hours and a little help, it turned out as a great addition to my office.After putting together my second Coaster piece of furniture in a single morning I'll say this is flat pack done right. Way to go, Coaster!

I have too many books and not enough room for them, so these shelves were a perfect addition to my living room! I have them completely packed with books, and I was honestly worried the outside edge wouldn't bear up under the weight. I even took a level after a few weeks to see if they were bowing, but they aren't. I especially like the clever outline of these. One of them is lined up with a light switch that would have been covered by any other shelf, but thanks to the unique shape of these, it's still easily accessible. Finally, they just look good. I think I'll have these two units for years to come!

First off, the packaging was amazing! It took a bit of work to get into, bit the contents were well protected.Assembly was easy, even for a solo average sized woman. The directions were very clear, all the parts were clearly labelled, and all the holes lined up properly.The assembled shelf is sturdy and beautiful. Sturdy is important in my home with my pets. The weathered gray is perfect with my decor.

Never expected such a quality piece at such a low price! I put it together myself in under a hour without issue (I never attempt this!) and it was nice that all tools needed were supplied. The color and look is high quality and mine is indeed GREY, not brown or blue/green as in other reviews. The deduction of one star is due to some of the shelves having damage (peeling) upon arrival, I was simply careful not to assemble it with any blemishes showing to my intended front side. One thing I found interesting and a very nice touch is that the stickers for covering the top of screws is actually heavy duty and textured to match and actually feel like wood. They came in varying shades and more than needed so I could actually near perfectly match the sticker to the grain in that section. This matches my other higher end furniture bought at a furniture store and so far not one person has even notices it is not a set; truly a great piece and awesome find.

Very cool style and looks great. Instructions were decent but pay attention to orientation of finished edges. Surprisingly sturdy and much more stable than it looks. I got this for my daughters bedroom- needed vertical storage without a big footprint. This looks really nice in the corner of the room. I plan to order a second unit.

It’s a beautiful shelf!! I put it together myself and it took a little under an hour (not including the breaks I took) I appreciate that it comes with wood glue in order to aid in the sturdiness of the pegs. It’s the perfect addition to my updated living room.

I love how it looks. I'm using it as a pantry for my kitchen. It's deeper than a kitchen pantry cabinet. Took about 30 mins to put together by myself. It's sturdy.

Great quality & solid construction, held together with screws! Simple instructions & easy for one person. I’m 72 & very pleased with this shelf unit.
